I LOVE MY NAME <3 It is very pretty, and I always hear how beutiful the name is. I am from Norway, so I'm sure It's said differently here. But anyways, It's a beautiful name.

My name's Maia, and as long as people have been writing my name, they've been mispelling it. But It's all good. I really love my name, and I especially love the fact that it comes from Greek mythology (as I am a HUGE mythology dork). Even'though people mispelling my name does get tiresome, I'm most definately proud to be a Maia!

well, when i was a kid i hated my name. i thought it was weird. but as i grew, i've learned to love my name. It's actually cool. although sometimes i hate it when people pronounce my name jasmin. i clearly said my name is yasmin and they keep on saying jasmin. i actually have to spell it out for them.

I always hated saying it out loud. I'm not sure if It's just weird saying your own name or if It's because It's still quite unusual. As an adult, I am now forced to introduce myself rather than hiding behind my parents' legs, so I tend to be quite slow about It'so I won't have to repeat it. I always do anyway, and I always have to spell it. Then I'm told how pretty and unusual it is, and I smile, thinking about how ten years from now, elementary schools will be swarming with us.
