I never liked the name Randy. It's is not a name Americans in general appreciate or like. It was just a fad in the late 1962's. But Randy is also a slang word that has very negative connotations in Europe and India. Yet the naive American parents who named their boys (or girls) Randy at that time had no idea of that alternate bad meaning. Now those boys are adults working in a multi-national environment and their name is not helping them, but rather an embarrassment and detriment to their reputation.
