i've never heard of a boy named Tammy. Obviously named after'someone popular at the time.
My Name is Tammy. I love my name! Recently it has been used as the names of charactors in various sit com's and movies. So I am guessing it is gaining in popularity once more. I was named after the Debbie Renolds song "Tammy's in love" and all of the Tammy movies. The most recent movie Tammy...not such a great rep for the namesake ( I am definetly NOT white trash. ) I have only personally met one other Tammy in my life, but she'spelled her name differently than I do. Overall as a petiet woman I feel It'suits me well. It's not pretencious and is kind of cute sounding. And I personally like the name I was given.
Tammy is my name, I am leo so that'says most about me. I work on the phones alot and I always have to repeat my name to customers and usually have to spell it as they still don't understand what I am saying (and I do say it clearly) they just haven't heard of it before, I personally like the name as it is that little bit different. I have only met about 4 or 5 Tammy's mostly spelt differently with I's etc
I changed my name to Tamera when I read an article regarding lack of employment offers for those with names ending with a y or ie (it tends to be considered more childish than adult). I like my real name ok, but they picked it out of a hat and I would have preferred a couple other names that were in there.
This is my name and I don't love it. There names I like less than Karen, however, I wish I had a different name. Kristine would have been my preference.
a friend of mine is called tammy but is a girl not a boy personally though its not a name i would choose for myself or my children
