My name is Aiyana and I was born in 1991. Honestly I never really liked my name growing up but I was always told it was pretty. Living with this name for over thirty years the one thing that has remained constant is that EVERYONE mispronounces it over the phone! SO annoying. As i've gotten older i guess I appreciated how rare it was but now more people are naming their daughters this cause as a child I never met another Aiyana until like 2 years ago when a little girl had my name at my sons school. I still don't really love my name but at least it was unique... Now It's not so unique anymore. Whatever :/

We just had our precious little son one Jan 27th 2020 and we named him Caiden Darryl Scott ( we gave him 2 middle names bc that how my mother and father named my brother and I Darryl was my fathe's name and Scott is my husbands middle name) We love the name, my husband founf it on'the intern't and we in'tantly chose that name and never changed out mind!
Often claimed to be a Native American name, Aiyanna's origins are actually quite obscure. Probably a respelling of the'somali name Ayanna of modern coinage.
This is my baby cousin's name! She's so precious! I love her! Her name is spelled Aiyanna & her nickname is LeiLei. Yeah, I know it's really off from Aiyanna.. It's a long story why her nickname is LeiLei.
My name is Aiyana itś ok,but iḿ ugly so I feel the only thing about me is my name because it is beautiful. Many people use me, but aside from that life is good and my name is native american and i appreciate my namesake because I love my culture.
Aiyana is a broad name, not a Native American/American Indian description for tribal description. It is an Ancient name however. It means: "Remember The'struggle". It was an expression by Russians(viking descendants)to remember the'struggle defending against what in norse languages were called Skraelings (dark skinned people). It is Norse in origin and a white pride name to some actually, but there is however an American Indian relevance which is "Ayianna". The crossing of the names clashing comes from The Norseman who sailed to "Vinland"(The USA Now)long before Christopher Columbus. They had once again met with the American Indians as had happened in Siberia. The American Indians and Norseman both used the term Aiyana and Ayianna interchangeably and many people do not research to see the connections. When'they met in Canada though and even as far into the Midwest of Vinland(Norse name for America) aka Turtle Island(Indian for Americas) aka The USA, they made peace with each other which became the'sweet eternal bloom until "colonized Zionist settlers" came into the land after 1492 of course along with the other'settlers aka pilgrims that had nothing to do with original Northern European culture anymore. The ones who know the peace making history between'the two groups that coined "Aiyana" are keeping a beautiful era and truth alive. It is a gorgeous and truly powerful name. The ones who lost their heritage on either'side of Europeans or American Indians and history are simply lost. The name Aiyana is one of the greatest names ever as it points out history and is against the average lost American brainwashed by Zionist supremacists.
i think this is a good name.... but when i was reading all these comments i seen another name in here that was lovely...which was nevaeh anevay!!... that name i think is what i wanna name my baby!!!
This is my name. I love it. It describes me perfectly.
My name is Aiyana I'm 17 going on 18 June 2nd and I love my name now I embrace because It's me. Yes it hard to get it right the first time. However no one is perfect and not everyone is going to like the name but I love. I never use to really like the name for the'simple fact that I seemed boring and do different. I never met anyone with the'same name as me or spelled as me. However I'meet a girl a year older than name Iyana with same pronunciation as me. I pronounce mine as "eye-yon-na" the (A) is silent. I love the meaning of the name and if anyone has the'same name as me be proud of who you are because It's good to be different from other and not have a basic name that you could find on a key chain or soda bottle. It's as original as it can get.
I named my daughter Aiyana based on the fact that it meant eternal bloom. However have found by looking on the internet, it actually has no american indian meaning, rather more ethiopian/african - meaning morning flower or something like that. Quite disappointing as it is widely advertised as native american indian. I agree though that it is a beautiful sounding name, slightly hard for people to pronounce when reading it. We are from NZ and are maori (indigenous people of NZ) It'sounds and is pronounced like Maori language. Yes my daughter is always being called aiyana banana but she loves her name.
My name is Aiyana and I will be 16 in march of 2017. people always compliment it and say It'suits me because I look like a flower too. no one spells it right and i've only met one other person named Aiyana. I liked it better when it was less popular, but I guess ther's nothing I can do about that.
I'm 6 1/2 months pregnant and i want unusual names for my little princesses... their dad is not in the picture and i'm 17 my name is spelled different and i want their's to be also... i need ideas i was thinking Aiyannah( I-on-uh) Breize(Breeze)and Triyannah (Try-On-Uh) Reize(Reeze).... or Malyaha(Malia) Caze and Calyaha(Calia) Jaze... Help!!!
My name is that but my mom spelled it the way its pronounce it Iyahna. I loveeee it
When I was pregnant with our first daughter, I wanted her name to be really special. I chose this name about three months before she was born, December of '09, but spelled it differently. Her middle name is a combination of my parents' names, Manuel and Lynda, my mom goes by Lynne. I took the Ma from Manuel and Lynne for my mom and simply put them together to get Malynne. Her name is especially meaningful to us because she is also Native American, which she gets from me! She is an absolute doll my Aiyanna Malynne!!!
I happened to come across ths website after doing a search on the name Aiyana. My name is Aiyana and I was born in 1976. Growing up was rather difficult because I have such an unusual name. I have heard some many pronounciations of my name that I consider it a bleesing when someone pronounces it right.I pronounce it "Eye-Yah-Nah." Have heard Ariana, Iyama, Elyana... I recently had the pleasure of meeting the newest grandaughter of a friend, named Aiyana.
My daugher's name is Aiyana - Native american for eternal bloom. Because she is only three years old, people often'think she is saying brianna or diana when she'states her name. Only problem she may have is that is rhymes with banana. hopefully she won't want to wear a lot of yellow, be tall and slough. Seriously though, i've always had really good response from people - they state they love her name.
My name is Aiyana, I have never meet anyone with the'same name. I have always been'told it is a pretty name. I was named it as a Native American name. My parents told me that they meet someone when I was a baby named Aiyana but, I personally hasn't. I would like to meet someone with the'same name. I say my name without the I. But I was born 2010 so it wasn't really commen. Thank You
I am expecting my first daughter on July 4th and have come up with the perfect name. Elan Iyana! I looked up Aiyana and love the meaning, but want to spell it with an "I" for her father Isaac. Her first name, my middle name, is pronounced Ay-Lahn. It means distinctive and stylish elegance or enthusiastic and assured vigor and liveliness. I think it flows well together. Everyone thinks it is pretty and I love it.
My daughter's name is Aurora, she would always wake up at the crack of Dawn. My niece's name is Alina, so we will continue the A-A with Aiyana. Her name will be Aiyana Perkaquanard C.
I want to name my daughter Rhailyn Ayiana or Ayiana Rhailyn. What do you think?
My daughter was born in 2017 and we named her Aiyana. We were having trouble choosing a boys name, but my boyfriend and I I'mediately agreed on Aiyana for our little girl. As someone else said, we liked that the name was Naive American meaning eternal bloom. I just found out today that that is not true, so it is a little disappointing. As my boyfriend has Native American roots we found the meaning to be fitting. But its a pretty name either way. It was inter'sting to read about othe's' experiences with this name, and I'm a little worried now that'she may be teased, but kids are cruel no matter what your name is, I think.
