wow And I thought I'made that name up. I am 9 months pregnant and we are planning to name our 2nd daughter Ila. My mothe's name is Ida and I wanted a way to name my daughter after my mother without giving her the exact same name. I love this name especially because it is rare and it has a beautiful sound to it. Her name will always sound soft and sweet even if she becomes my little terror.
Its a little tough having a name'start with a.n.a.l BUT I have overlooked it due to it being a Hawaiian name and I am very proud of my Hawaiian roots. I do commonly use nicknames, though, but I enjoy having it as a name. It's definitely Great and original but you might wanna consider the taunting over the'spelling.
