i've only ever heard of girls with this name who i've personally known in person (known 4 girls named this). But then I heard of Ashton Kutcher and saw it on another guy on a show so I feel who the heck knows... A nice name for either gender'since you can'take any traditional boy's name and find someone who has it who is female. Same goes for the names Taylor, Devon, Landon, Cameron, Blake, Jordan, Morgan, etc. Picking a name for your child has become more about picking a name you like and giving it to either gender no matter what they are born as lol. Traditionally male names like Riley, Hayden, Leyton, Peyton, James/Jamie, Jayden, Jaylen, Aiden, Parker, Spencer, Rowan, Cooper, Dylan, Asher Jonnie, Eli... are being given'to both genders now and is just strange. Not sure why giving a girl a boy's name is so popular. I think girls should be given girly names that will age well.
Well my name is Audrey and i love love love it! I have never met anyone with the'same name which is quite annoying but oh well. I dont have the best nicknames out of it. Audge and Aud things like that but other than that i like it. Souds like one of those old fashioned. -Audrey :D
My name is Dylan but Ashton is a nice name too. P.S. I'm a boy posting on the girls page haha! :)
My friend's name is Ashton and she used to hate it. She wanted to change the'spelling to Ashtyn, which i think is pretty too. We'd never heard of any girls with that name before. Then i started finding other girls named Ashton so I guess It's getting more popular as a girl's name as well as a boy's name.
We named our daughter Ashton then changed the'spelling to Ashtyn and her last name is Tyler I thought it made it look more like a girl name with the y love our daughters name her middle name is Brooke
I named my daughter Ashton after watching the TV movie North and South. There was a woman on there named Ashton and I thought it was a very pretty name for a girl

I wanted to give my daughter my father's initials. J.A. I had Jessica because his name was Jess. I dreamed I named her Ashton so that's what the A stands for. I had never heard it before, so not sure why I dreamed it. then I started hearing it everywhere, boys and girls.
