I have to say, I am glad my parents added the e at the end of my name. It drives me crazy when people leave the e off. I think it looks a lot better with it. I always have to say carole with a e too !!
I like my name and think it has a nice upbeat musical feeling to it. I always have to say it is Carole with an "e". Sometimes people are confused by the'spelling and call me "Carole Lee". If I could have chosen my name I would have picked "Caroline". It is a more enduring, classic name.
Carole came to my school to lead our INSET taniring for a mixed group of teaching, support and care staff. (We are a residential school).Carole's taniring gave us a great deal of insight, not just into the behaviours and emotional state of our young people, but into our own. She helped us to see how we could have a greater impact on the young people in our care by having a greater understanding of ourselves. The relaxation at the end of the day was the best i've ever experienced. For the first time in ages I felt my shoulders soften and some of my tension subside.Thankyou Carole- a great day and real food for thought!Lis (Head teacher- residential special school)
I too was named after Carole Lombard, born in 1973 to Italian parents. Could never understand why they didn't name me something more ethnic but wanted to be more American!! I like Carolina better but am happy they at least put e at end, more special.
This is my name and I always loved it. Most people spell it wrong (CH) so I figured out a way to cross off the C and turn the h into a K. People often get the end wrong, too....kristi, kristen, etc.
I have always loved my name, Carole. I was named after Carole Lombard, which of course made me feel special. I too, felt when people left the "e" off of my name that it wasn't me.
Unlike the other people who responded I don't like my name. My mother chose the'spelling Karin -- ok, it was somewhat different in 1970. I think the name Karen is like the name Edith or Ethel. Old and dying name.
I love having an e on the end of my name. Without the e it just Isn't me. In this new age of e-mail and e-commerce etc, I have now have to say "Carole with an 'e' on the end" because I once got a letter'sent to Ecarol!!!
My name is Ashleigh. I am 26 years old and am engaged to a handsome young man named Harry. My first daughter will be named Carole. If I have two more they will be Lily and Ruth Rose. My first son would be Klaus, and my next two runner ups would be Paul and David.
I'm glad my folks added the "e" -- it is a softer looking spelling than Carol without the "e." Also, it was the name of the wife of my all-time favorite movie star -- Clark Gable.
My name is Carole. Most people leave the "e" off. I love my name. I am a musical person in keeping with its meaning.
My dad named me and never told why the e at the end. He was working on the Alaskan highway and was able to return to MN. For my birth which was a C section. I like the e because I'm an individual. Yes I also need to say Carole with an e.
My name is Carole. Although I would have preferred Caroline which to me has a stronger'sound I'm glad my parents added the e. It makes is a little more unique. And I get frustrated reminding people to add the e because without the e it just doesn't look like my name. In fact my boss was named Sue and she kept writing my name without the e. I was tempted to write her name as Su thinking maybe she❤️d finally remember my e. But I never did out of respect since she was my superior but I kinda regret not doing that. ❤️
My name is Carole, as a child everyone wanted to leave the E off, so I asked my Mom why she put the E on my name and she replied, because it looks finished. As I got older I am glad she added the E and agree with her that is does look finished, and it is finished.
