I named my daughter this and found it interesting that the dictionary defines "Hope" as the expectation of something desired. I like knowing that her name signifies that she will always looking on the bright side of life.
I know no one who's name is Hope. I think it's awesome to know that there are other people named Hope!! I thought I was the only one!!- not really
My sisters name is hope and boys always thought she was going to be a nun. I don't get how they get those ideas from. Don't let your girl be insulted for having a gorgeous name
my husband and I finally agreed on a name for our little girl on the way which will be Lillianna Hope but she will go by Lily, her big brothers name is Aiden Michael and it fits him perfectly so hopefully this will fit our little girl :)

My daughter's name is Hope. She is 21 years old and loves that it's not a very common name.
I'm 36 and my name is Hope. I hated my name growing up so most people call me by my middle name. But as I've gotten older I like my name more now than when I was a kid. I can relate to the other people that stated comments about the name calling. I've heard I hope, Hope... and Hope, dope, soap but I think the most common one is when someone calls my name and somebody else thinks they are saying HO instead of Hope. But as I have gotten older I have ran into a lot more ladies named Hope so I'm more comfortable with my name and I think it is a beautiful name.
I aboustly adore this name. I plan on naming one of my daughters Hope Elizabeth. (:
when i was younger i always wished i had a common name like Lauren, as i didn't like being different. but since i have grown older i have grown to love my name, i think it's beautiful and has a true thoughtful meaning, sure you get a few immature teenage boys that call you Dope Pope and also make names up to do with your name, but you learn to ignore it as behind all the insults theres at least one person who will comment on the name Hope as it is beautiful and very different
I adore (and will probably use) the name Verity Hope. I really like Hope as a first name, but Verity Hope has a more beautiful sound and rhythm to it.
this name is amazing no one should ever make fun of it when i have a daughter a want to name her hope. :)
Yes there are many things that people can say like Hope the dope. But look up the meaning Hope its a glories name.
My name is Hope, I love the name as it is extremely origional and i get lots of comments about it. The only down side to it is that teenage boys tend to take the Mick of it eg. "I hope, Hope will hope to hope one day"... and it rhyms with Pope and Dope. I just thought i would post this so that any mother wishing to name their daughter Hope knows that there are a few concequences with this beautiful name! x
