My name is Icie and I absolutely love it. I was named after my grandmother.
We named our daughter Ila after an old family friend. It gets mispronounced all the time. Mostly we hear Ida or Lila. It'seems to be more popular than it was when I was a girl. We've never personally met any other little girls with the name, but we hear about many.
icie is a name people sometimes cant sy right and that cant spell right
Hi Everyone ;) My name is Icie Marie. I was named after my 3rd great-grandmother. Her name was Icie May. I liked he's better bacause my birthday is in May! Anyways, Growing up with the name hasn't always been easy! In elm school I was in 6th grade when Vanilla Ice came out with the'song IceIce Baby! that was HORRIABLE!! But, I'm 29yrs old now, and realize that children can be cruel! They don't know any better.. It really has been an adventure with my name. I work in customer'service, and a lot of people think my name is Lacey. But, I just go with it, sometimes It's just easier. I wouldn't change my name for the WORLD!! I don't think that I could even come up with a name for myself if I ever had to! I don't like anything else. It's way too much fun ;) I get to yank a lot of people's chains with my name. There is a lot of people out there that have never heard of it, but it is the best name ever!!! I have had so many people insist that my name is a stage name, but I reassure them that there's no poles around for that!! Hehe ;) Well if anyone considers naming your daughter Icie, and wants to ask any questions, just ask ;) I'll be more than happy to answer!!

My first name is ICIE. It is pronounced by the first to letters I C (or icy). This was my Dutch grandmother's name. She was born in the late 1890's. I was born in 1965. She told me she was named after the midwife that birthed her, a Dutch woman named Icie. I have only found the name in Michigan 2 other times. One party already deceased but had been a doctor acquaintance of my employer, and an elderly woman who had no info to give. I didn't think much of the name till junior high when I was teased a lot, but as time goes, I came to enjoy its uniqueness. Today, as a performer, it draws attention. I like it. I would have like to pass it on, but have no children of my own. It has been'thought to perhaps be a nickname to a longer name but only recently came across a name containing it: Iciefene. No info it though.

My maternal grandmother's name was Icie Rosella Purdy. She was born in Confederate, KY, in 1892 (although her'sS & death cert. info says 1894). Oddly enough, she married a man named Burnie Howard, my grandfather, who was also born in KY, at Pilot Oak in 1889.
