My sister's name is I'ma (ill-mah). It comes from my grandma on my dad's side. The'story we were told is when my grandma was born her father was drunk happy and misspelled "I'ma" to I'ma. So that'stuck and when my sister was born she got named after both my grandmas. Most people pronounce it "Elma." We call her I'ms for short and I think its close to the name "WI'ma."
