Kathie meaning

I would LOVE to talk to the above woman. My experience is nearly identical to he's! "My legal name is also Kathleen, but for the past 62 years my family has called me Kathie. In the fashion my mother was educated a persons name ending in "y" was considered masculine, and "ie" feminine, thus she'spelled my name Kathie. I'm also often asked if I spell my name with a "K" or a "C". Right away I spell it out for them because I know they'll never end it with "ie". The first time I remember hearing of someone who spelled their name "Kathie" was Kathie on Regis & Kathie Lee, but since then i've met several other Kathie's. I like the fact that my name is spelled the way it is because it makes me feel special. One thing I don't like about the'spelling is I can never find items with "Kathie" already written on them." <--- I took out everything that WAsn't the'same.
