Our Leo is two years old. We chose this name because it has the class and dignity of a well-established proper male name, It's simple to spell and pronounce, and It's familiar without being over'sed. We find most people react to his name positively, with a kind of pleasant surprise, since it is not a random surname and doesn't end in 'aden' I suppose. We've also heard some decidedly negative reactions, but mostly from people who have demonstrated questionable taste in many other areas, so we generally take their disapproval as a compliment.

I like this name. It was my grandfather's name and if I have a baby boy I will probably use it for either a first or middle name.

We named our son Lincoln Adrian. Lincoln just because we loved it and Adrian after his great-grandfather. I think it fits him well and we love it. Ironically, there is another Lincoln at the day care provider he goes to.

I named my son Leo in 2001 - apparently not too many other people did back then! I don't think there's ever been another Leo in his classes.

Originally my son was Louis pronounced louie but most people made the mistake of calling him Lewis which drove me mad, so decided on Leo after his grandad one way of saying it & spelling It'short but strong, we have had so many compliments on his name, But with every name it has to feel right & suit the child, go with your heart not everyone is going to like the name you pick & who cares! A great and ancient name, and universal in its use. The name of saints, popes, kings and emperors. Almost all European nations and nations claiming European ancestery use the name. You don't meet many Leos often. Maybe with the popularity of Leonardo DiCaprio ( often called "Leo" for short)the name will catch on again. I like my name very much!

Ive had the name for the 15 years of my life. It's nice, being unique. the only problem is that people mistake your name for Theo or Neil. other than that, its not too shabby.

I just named my new son Leo. I love its sound, its meaning (lion in latin), the'simplicity of it. I chose it because I do not know of any other Leos and I hope it remains an uncommon name. Most people don't know how to react when I tell them his name, and I have been asked why I chose that name, is it a family name❤️ (No, it is not). Just a name we love!

There are so many beautiful under'sed names from all over the world to choose from, I don't know why people feel the need to make up a new name, or how it became the 34th most popular name in America in 2020.
