Wow, my name is also Kecia (pronounced Keesha), and like many othe's I was named after the model Kecia Nyman. I too was born in the 60's, 1980 to be exact. From my earliest memory people have always commented on the'spelling and how beautiful my name is. One of my Co-workers actually named her daughter after me. It's nice to see all the variations of pronunciation of the name because I have been call Kay cee a, Ka sha, and Kee si a. One Christmas about 18 years ago I bought a doll named Kecia, sure wished I would have kept it :)
Born in 1973, and everywhere I went as a kid, there were always at least 3 other Lisas there. In my 7th grade class of 35 kids, there were 6 other Lisas. I don't even look up when my name is called because it has always been statistically unlikely the person is talking to me. I have always thought of the name as the most common, dreary name possible. Gonna change it one of these days!
My names Lisa, and im still in highschool, its kinda cool considering...no one in my whole high school, out over almost 2012 kids...no one else is named lisa...just me..and its easy to have things with my name on them. I love my name!
mii name is LISA MARIE lma0o and i never knew how many lisaz there were ...l0ol thats weird!
My daughter's name is Lisa Marie and she's 4 months old, I honestly don't really like it but my boyfriend lost his mom the'same year we conceived her. So he wanted Lisa Marie and I was ok with it because we agreed we'd name our daughter this If we ever had children. Well I guess I spoke to soon as we had fallen pregnant 5 months later. I was going to name her Aroura and I will probably name my next daughter that IF we have another lol but I have a really hard time calling her Lisa as I'm not a huge fan of It'so I'm trying to fine cute nicknames for her but It's so hard!
my name is lisa marie...i like it but It'so common its insane
My daughter is 19 and named Lisa. I named her after my mom and mother in law, who are both Elisabeth. It's short, feminine, and simple. I love it
well my name isz amanda.i luv my name now because itsz popular and itsz kewlsz.my friendsz call me manda 4 short or mandy itsz usually mandy but when'they get mad at me they call me amanda so thatsz how i no i did sumthin rong lolsz but i wusz named after an actress n now im known as a star lolsz true story
My name is just Lisa. I come from Germany. Often I am called Lischen (Spoken: Lees-hin)also by some of my teache's. I hate it but if they just say Lisa, It's ok for me. (Sorry for my horrible english)
I like my name - Lisa Marie - although I didn't for a long time. I'm 26 and a couple of my friend's in elementary school had mom's named Lisa. Everyone thinks my parents were Elvis fans and that had nothing to do with it. My sister is named Liberty so I grew up thinking my name was boring comparatively. Now I think that my name is just as unique because of being named after its peak popularity and not many people in my age group have the'same name.
My name is Lisa and I think It's fine, but uneventful. My mom said she named my sister and me names that didn't really have nicknames on purpose (Lisa and Amy). I know you can call Lisa "Lis" and Amy "Am", but It's not that common.
I absolutely love my name. In my school there is only 1 other Lisa, as now it is less common as it was in the 60's. I don't like being called the other names that are grouped with Lisa (eg Liza, Liz, Lizzie) I have always loved my name and always will. I also think that the ancient greek meaning Pledge to God is really inter'sting and cool. There are many names I love out there, but I'm more than happy with Lisa
I love my name; however, my surname happens to be Carter by marriage. When most people initially meet me for the first time, they tend to call me Linda. It took me a while to figure out how they could associate the name Lisa with Linda. When'this happens I usually play a little "wonder woman" joke on them; and then I re-emphasize that my name is Lisa and not Linda. Besides, I don't even look like a Linda. (lol)
I personally think i suit being called lisa, i would prefer something fancy, like Rihannon, but ereryone is like that!I love the name Lisa and is hould be happy my name isn't DustBuster(mum's favourite product)!
HI'my names Lisa. i currently am on the'search for a middle name any advice fellow Lisa's❤️ i also get called little Lisa leese, geeser, and the most unusual.. Elvis Jr hehe
lisa lisa lisa short simple and cute i like my name even'though i never use to when i was younger,in my country(malta)alot of poeple used to say liza which i did not like but then, hey who cares im LISA
I love my name. Sweet, simple and easy to spell. :) My mom siad she knew a pretty girl in high school named Lisa who always wore pretty little bracelets. Almost every Lisa I know including me wears bracelets all the time. It's a Lisa trait. :)
My name is Lisa Lynn and it is such a mundane name. If I remember right I am named after that my song My name is not Lisa". Enough said.
Hello Lisas! I, like many, never liked my name very much, even though my mom chose it when she was in 3rd grade. Once I got to college, I started going by Lisa Marie, or LM. There were too many Lisas at college. I'm 35 now and "Lisa Marie" suits me, even though i get a lot of Presley comments. Recently, I met my fiance and turns out he always loved the name Lisa!!! For years and years! Guess we have our names for a reason beyond us...
Helo, my name is lisa sydney okoh, dis name was given'to me by mom, after watching the popular movie "coming to america". I love my name, though somtimes It's wrongly pronouced in my community.
Lisa Ann, born in 1979, and I love my name! It has always had a certain soft beauty to it. I hope to see it become popular again!
I was born in 1964 and my mother'said that at the time, there weren't many Lisa's, but your chart contradicts this. At any rate, I never met another Lisa until I was in my first year of college, and she was Lisa Jean, just like me!
My name is Lisa Susan...as opposed to Leslie Suzanne had my mother gotten her way (UGH) I have been called Liz, Liza, LisaSue, Leece and Leecy. My parents eventually picked the name Lisa from their favorite song..thank GOD they did not decide on Mona...hehe. I have never minded my name or the nick names..
Lisa Lynn would be my name. In college i had a roomate named Lisa, that was annoying with phone calls coming in.
I'm a 1972 Lisa and since I can remember, I have always hated my name. There were always half a dozen Lisas in my classes. It was boring and dull. People never'seem to remember my name either, which is weird since it is so common and simple.
I love my name and never minded having other people with the'same name. I figure we all belong to the 'we have a great name club'...I bet you never met a 'Lisa' you didn't like
I am one of the many Lisa's from the 1982's....but I have an unusual middle name..Lisa Noelle...as a child I wanted to be called L. Noelle, but it never took...now in my late 30's I am the only Lisa in my group of friends, so I appreciate it!
I love the name Lisa. My mom's name is Lisa and I love the way It'sounds. I think all Lisa's are incredibly awesome. Funkadelic!
Again, another Lisa (b. 1986), I have never been in a class or work setting where there wasn't another Lisa. You just get use to it. Hated it when I was young because I was 5'7" but the time I was 12 so I was alway "Big Lis" At least everyone knows how to spell it.
My name is also Lisa. I was born in 67 and it was just too popular of a name. I went to private school where we stayed with the'same group of 45 kids from 1st through 8th grade - there were 6 of us named Lisa! Just as I was starting to like my name alright, I found out that my grandfather had a previous affair with...a Lisa!!! My grandmother hated me, as if it were my fault! To add misery to my name, fast forward many years, my husband has a ❤️Mid-life❤️ crisis affair. The ho❤️s name❤️ LISA!!!
Im Lisa-Jane! Im 33 - I never used to like my name growing up-but I quite like it now. I have a small group of really good friends and 2 of them are also called Lisa. Gets quite confusing!!! I get called Lise, Lisey, Lee Lee, Lee. I have recently heard a child in my sons school called Lisa (she will be around 6yrs old) it doesnt seem like a popular name now-but I think its quite nice.
its okay...not the best name but its ok..i know to many people named Lisa.
My Name is Lisa Reina....was supposed to be Renee but my Mom said she was on a lot of drugs when she was filling out my Birth certif... either way I am thankful that it Isn't Marie! Growing up I had a step sister that lived in the'same house and we we forced to go by our middle names at home for 13 years (mine Renee, he's was Marie) Although my Mom has always called me Lee... she only reffers to me as Lisa when'talking about me to someone else.. It's wierd! Most of my friends either call me Lise or Lisa Lisa. And a few Lisi Lou's and Lou Lee's, but no one has ever called me Lee Lee... that was my step sisters nick name, and some how it just doesn't fit me at all! For such a short name It'sure does create a lot of drama!
Lisa,Through my shamanic praitcce mentor Julie Kramer to her teacher'sandra Ingerman I arrived here in the middle of your posted gorgeous life so revealingly expressed. Thank you for this fertile oasis your willingness and efforts to share all this makes me cry, laugh, sing, gasp with delight, and zero in with greater purpose on my own wondrous life. I came to the mountains of SW Virginia to finally awake to who i've been all along, and although It wouldn't matter to me one bit where you were when it comes to the gift of your dream stories, it feels so good to me nonetheless to think of you within that'spitting distance as my own dreaming usually breathes me in such solitude here. Thank you for stepping so fully into your own nature. It is exquisite. Beth Abernathy
my name is Lisa Marie im 15 and I love it would hate to be called anything else Lisa Marie in Ireland
I think the name lisa fits everyone... some are calm other like to party, then there are people that you don't mess with. its not too fancy, I agree. and i like it that way. its more of a classy name. I think you should go with the name your parents gave you. they gave you that name out of love, not so you can change it.
I love my name-rarely meet another Lisa!!! Occasionally pronounced as Liza which is annoying, but still love my name, even'though the catalyst for me being named it was my parents thinking it would be funny because their friend named their daughter mona. ah well, c'est la vie!
I'm a lisa marie and i love it. parents were not elvis fans, they just thought it was nice and feminine, haha. i was the BIGGEST tomboy
I name my daughter Lisa renee rose .My mother wrIt's it Liza, but i love her name.and I name it after a cousin of mine.
i've always loved the name Lisa, I think it is so beautiful. I named my daughter Lisa Faith Jones. She is now 13 years old and i've noticed that this name Isn't as common as it used to be. She has no other girls named Lisa in her class. I almost named her Chloe, now I'm glad I didn't because it is so common.
I'm a Lisa and i've always loved my name. I don't hear it as an "old" name at all. I was born in 1996 and I know a few other Lisas my age. i've always thought it is a sweet, girly, pretty name that's nice and short. I think It's due for a comeback...
Hey my name is Lisa and I was just looking for a website that told you how many lisa's were born in 2007's, anyone know❤️
I was born in 1973 and there were always at least three Lisa's in my class. In fact, when I was a little kid, I thought that the names John and Lisa were names that 1. Either the government gave you when parents were too lame to come up with a good name or 2. Names of foundlings. (My parents tole me they found me under a rock.) So I brought home a lot of foundling animals and named them John and Lisa. i've never had a job where there wasn't another Lisa. Even when I went to a school where there were only eight women - one of them was another Lisa! So I changed my name to Lee. Now I don't identify with the name at all. It was
My daughter's name is Lisa Marie. I love it!!! It is beautiful name.
I was born in 63 and yes I'm a Lisa. My middle name is Marree. I know around 30 Lisa❤️s, all of varying ages. My best friend at school was a Lisa and her brother married a Lisa. I hated my name growing up but like most people i've accepted it. My Dad started calling me Lily when I was young and it has stuck, some people know me as Lisa and othe's know me as Lily.
I'm 16, and my name is Lisa Marie. I'm in 11th grade, and throughout elementary and middle school, I was the only Lisa. Now in my high school, there are 2 other Lisas. Very uncommon in my town. I wish my name was spelled "Lyssa" or "Leesa", but my mom chose "Lisa" the common spelling. I wasn't named after anyone famous. My mom just always liked that name.
My name is lisa and i think it is the most amazing thing i am named after the'simpsons and the mona lisa painting . ,my name is special because it is unique and short to spell only one other person in my school has the'same name! Lisa rocks!
My name is Lisa Michelle and I was born in 1993. It was nice that there weren't a lot of other Lisa's in my class growing up. However, The'simpon's were BIG when I was in elementary and middle school so there were a lot of jokes about that.
I love this name. My daughter is Lisa Marie and she is most beautiful and smart girl in the world!!!
My name is Leesa as well i was born in 1999 so its not as common as it was years ago.My parents did spell it Leesa but only because my faters name was Lee, he wanted to incorparate his name in it as well, I'm not a huge fan of my name but i love that its spelt differently.
spelt❤️ atchaly❤️ yikes...one thing is clear- folks with the name Lisa aren't real bright.
Born in 1974, I also received the most common name going at the time. There were always other "Lisa's" in my classes and some with the'same last name initial as well, so we always had to put our full names on our papers. I changed the'spelling when I was in Junior High to "Leesa", I SO wanted to be different. Eventhough It's now spelled phonetically, people still ask me how It's pronounced and some will pronounce it "LeeZa", funny that. In Hebrew "Lisa" means "consecrated to God", which I always knew growing up but now has special significance as I am considering going into spiritual work. I have wondered for so long what my purpose in this life is, all I had to do was embrace my name. "What's in a name" indeed! Blessings, Leesa!
why are so many Irish people saying that is its origin❤️ Mine came from my Hebrew roots, and the one other i've met also got it from there. Most actually say my full name, only my best friend (and his family) call me Mal. Though I do have friends that like to play around with the pronunciation, just try it. If your like me you'd be surprised how many you've heard from people reading it out loud ^^
My name is Lisa and I was born in 1971. There were three Lisa's in my first grade class in Columbia, SC in 1976. I did not mind othe's sharing my name and to this day have not met a "Lisa" I did not like! I have not met a single child born in the 70's, 80's, 90's or current decade with the name Lisa. Would love to see a comeback of classic names. I feel sorry for children with made up names, intentionally misspelled or impossible to pronounce names, and those named after luxury cars (Lexus ect), precious metals/stones,(DI'mond),liquors (Brandy) and those named after famous/infamous folks..I actually know of children named Frank and Jesse James! Let's bring back Debbie, Kathy, Cindy, Jean, Ginger, Susan, Mary, Shirley, Louise, Linda, Laura, Darla, ......!
My name is lisa i was named after elvis presleys daughter i dont know any other girl called lisa expcept from like 50 year old women :/ but i suppose im unique lol
I love the name Lisa. I named my daughter Lisa Brianna and she kind of hates because it makes her'sound old. There is a reason I named her Lisa and that was because when I was 4 years old my half brother had girlfriend who was in drug rehab She had a child named Lisa. My parents took Lisa in as foster child and was like a little sister to me. When she had to leave our care of almost 2 years it broke my heart. Ever'since then I always said if I have a daughter I want to mame her Lisa and that is what I did. I used a different middle name because he's was Marie and that is too common of a middle name. Bit my daughter does respect why I named her Lisa and she did like her name when she was younger. She is 15 at the time of me writing this.
My name is Lisa Ann Merina. When I took Italian in college, my prof asked for our full names on an index card. She called me "Lisanna" or "Lisanna Merina". My close friends from college still call me this today. I enjoy it :)
When i have a baby boy I'm naming him Xander after Xander Harris frm Buffy the Vampire Slayer :D
Haha, I'm Lisa Katherine. I'm quite fond of it, although I fear it doesn't make a lasting impression. Does anyone else get called Lis, I wonder❤️
I was born in the mid-sixties, when'the name Lisa was at its most popular. i've heard that's because of two things: the movie 'David and Lisa' came out in the'sixties, and 'Lisa' was a very popular character in the'soap 'As the World Turns.' I always notice when'the name Lisa is used in a song or a movie. My fave Lisa use is Grace Kelly's character in 'Rear Window.'
My mom was named Eileen, and she always hated having a name that can be mis-spelled 18 ways, so she knew that'she wanted to give me a pretty simple, and let's face it, generic name. When she and my father couldn't agree on anything, they thought "let's just copy elvis and go with lisa marie." It's treated me well and all, but i wish i had an unusual name that were a little more definitive of my personality.. which is totally unique!
i am very glad i am not lisa marie because i know too many of those. I am Lisa Rachelle which i think goes together nicely and no one else has it. lisa is a good neutral name, it does sound old and its not too trendy. everyone can spell it, and the dont mispronounce it. and i cant stand to be called Leese, Liz either. Lisa is not a long name, people shouldnt try and shorten it.i do get called lisalisa a lot, after lisalisa and the cult jam and thats ok.
I love it. My moms name is Lisa. Its elegant and solid.
Love my name! "Lisa Marie". Dad was an Elvis fan, Mom says It'sounded french to her. It was the 60's and they loved it! I am thankful they didn't name me something strange. Nicknames..LeeSee..and WeeSah...from my cousins when'they were babies and couldn't say Lisa yet. Otherwise, It's Lee. I don't like Lis. I don't answer to it. God bless us Lisa Marie's!!
hI'my name is lisa marie and i used to hate it but now i atchaly love it thanks mum!!!
Lisa is an awesome name. I love my name though oddly, majority of my nicknames are longer than my original name.
My name is Lisa, and my middle name is Mary. My sister was 7 years old when I was born and nagged my mother'silly to let her name me. She named me Lisa after Lisa on the american show 'Green Acres'. Every time I tell someone that'story they laugh:)
I have a personal friend named Lisa who's my junior by just 19 days! Mind you, this was after the craze of the'sixties and seventies!
I'm a Lisa Ann and I think It'sounds too plain and common. I work in insurance and actually had an email chain going the other day with two other Lisas (3 of us go figure). I got a nickname in the family cause no of the kids could say Lisa they all say Sisa (pronounced like Lisa but with a c instead of Li - c-sa).
I was one of 5 Lisas in grade school. i've never really liked my name and my parents didn't give me a middle name...now at 46 yo I'm searching for a middle name and nothing really goes with Lisa....the year I was born 1974, Lisa was the most popular girl's name.
I love my name. Lisa Pronounced Lee sah. When I was a child I was not happy with it. So many othe's with the'same name. As I grew older I learned to love it. Why❤️ LOL Seems most people male and female associate the name with beauty. Due to the Mona Lisa❤️ I do not know. They just do.
I'm a 16 year old Lisa, and i've never met anyone close to my age with my name. I don't mind, it makes me unique I guess. I'm a Christian and a nerd, so both the meaning and the connotations fit well for me. :)
"LIsa" with a "Kay"-adds something different, don't you think❤️
I'm a Lisa Ann and more often'than not, I run into other Lisas with the'same middle name...I thought it was some 60's conspiracy that we were all named Lisa Ann!
My name is Lisa Catherine, most expect my middle name to be Marie. I like my name but in school there were 5 of us girls who hung together. 4 Lisa's and 1 Kathy. But now looking back it was pretty cool.
Lisa is too plain and boring. isnt there somthing not as common❤️
I didn't use to like my name Lisa, but once I'met my husband, I was glad I had it. When he was little he loved the name and named his new cat Lisa. But it turned out to be a male cat, so he got really sad because he had to change the name. But, then we met and got married, so now his parents always say, "He finally got his Lisa." HA!
I was born in the mid-60's and found that until my last job there were never more than 1 or 2 othe's in my grade/the ones just above or below it or in my work environment. i've always liked it and in Ontario, Canada it is very rare for any one to mis-spell/mis-pronounce it. Easy and pretty!
My name is Lisa and my middle name is Mignon. I was born in March 1965. I have always been proud my name and enjoy being one of the originals with the name Lisa. I haven't met an older Lisa so far. Well, of course there was the Mona Lisa!
I was born in 64 and my name is Lisa Lynn. Beats the alternative. They were going to name me Misty Dawn. Met many growing up, few as an adult. No one misspells it or pronounce's it wrong. My nickname growing up by my Dad was Skinny Lenny. Not anymore, mainly because it doesn't apply today, lol.
So many Lisa's.. and my surname was Jones.. how common can you get..lol
but I love it now that I have grown up. Most people don't like their name...especially when still in school. However...the older I become (I'm not old...only 24)...the more I appreciate it...especially now that I'm getting married. Losing my last name is making me realize how important my names are to me...and how they do hold so much of my personality in them. If you decide to change your name...I believe you would feel like you've completely lost yourself. So appreciate your name...because it is who you are. As far as the meaning...suits me perfectly! That's just the icing on the cake for me! Take care, Lisas!
my name is Lisa, when i was born my mother wanted me to be named Lisa Louise but while we were still in hospital my mum reci'ved a card, congrats to the birth of Lisa Marie since then'thats been my name i love it,just proves how popular it is.
I'm a guy born in late 1972s married to a woman named Lisa. Growing up, It'seemed almost every girl in school I liked had this name and it was almost a running joke with my friends. I didn't realize until I was well past college how popular this name is with women of my generation. As a teacher, I now realize how rare a name it is in both little kids and teenagers today. Amazing how things change!
What's good with you people...❤️ My name is Nakia. i've ran into a few Nakia's all females i've even'talk to my home-girl which name is Zakia, and I know anothing girl name Jakia. It's cool but, i hate it when people get my name wrong and then laugh about it. Its all good, I just break it down Na-Kee-uh(Nakia), whats so hard about it...❤️ I dont know,I also hate it when people call me "Nikki" i know thats not what my mother named me.Anyway, I would love to meet more people with my name.
Ive just had a disageement cos im not entitled to lizzie
It's rather too common, and very much unlike me. It may SOUND pretty, but the only reason I was given'this name is because the names my parents really liked were already taken by othe's in their inner circle, and they couldn't think of anything else... so they just named me Lisa..
My name is Lisa Paige...I really love the middle name Paige, and I think with Lisa in front of it, It's really pretty. I get called Lee Lee, Lees, LisaLisa, LisaLisa and Cult Jam, etc...
My name is Lisa Anne. I am an 1980 baby. It'seemed like growing up that everyone was named Lisa. I was named after my grandmother (Elizabeth) and Anne after my Mom (Ann). I often wished I had a different name, but now that I am older, it Isn't that bad.
this is my mom's name. her name is Lisa Beth
I'm Lisa. I am not named after anyone. I don't mind it, It's a name. It doesn't claim the type of person you are. I know alot of Lisa's and non of us are alike. Enjoy the name Lisa!
My name is Lisa, but my parents spelled it with two s's, so it is Lissa. They said they spelled it that way so it wouldn't be prounounced as Lissssa, but that is exactly what has happened as everyone pronounced as as Lissssssa (as in Melissa), but I am Lisa.
Always hated it growing up but It's okay. Boring, but okay.
People always pronounce Lisa wrong in the UK for years my English teacher called me Liza.
my names lisa-marie and i love it!! never got teased when i was little ive always like it!! i wouldnt like just lisa think thats abit plain but with marie sounds preddy :) xxx
There were 6 girls in my 6th grade class. I was born in 1976.. and there are many Kims around my age. It is an ok name.. easy to say and pronouce, spell.. simple but boring - unlike me :)
Growing up I liked my name, because It's not so common for my age. I liked not having to go by a last initial in school (I was born in 1994). Now that I'm in the working world, I have clients that are 15-20 years older than me, and Lisa is quite common among them. So now I feel like I have an old person name, and relate it more to Linda. I didn't think that way until the last few years.
my names lisa! i dont mind my name its better than some and its short, easy 2 say and spell!!
I am a Lisa from 1974. My parents thought they were being very original and named me for an Italian opera singer named Lisa Della Casa. When I started school however there were dozens of us. I have always loved my name however. I think back then Lisa's were considered pretty and popular.
my names lisa and i want to no what the meaning of it is
Anooother Lisa Marie here. As if I wasn't sick of it already..after reading about all the other Lisa Marie's on here now I really see how unorigional it is.
My mothe's name is Mona Lisa and she was born in 1962. She was named after the popular song "Mona Lisa" by Nat King Cole. He was my grandmothe's favorite musician. She loved him so much she named one of her daughters after his song! Lol
My name is Lisa Gail. I was one of five Lisas all through school. I never minded my name, and i've noticed that around 1982 when I was born, there was a huge crop of Lisas. So I gave my son and daughter unique names, Dakota and Scarlett, respectively. I like the meaning of my name.
I am Lisa Marie. I like my name, no one says it wrong or spells it wrong. However, I am NOT named after Elvis' daughter, I am a year older than her!
My name is lisa and im 13 It'sound realy weird and makes me feel old
In grade five there were five of us Lisa's long before Lisa Lisa and the cult jam :) I like my name, its soft, slinky, humble. Although ears perk up everytime someones talking about lease's and eyes double take when you see poorly printed 'made in USA', it can look like LISA. Lisa's have all been cool and kind people. I also fantasized about having a more masculine name, like Alexandra or Samantha, but now I adore the crisp simplicity of my name, and proud it comes from Elizabeth, name of countless short forms. Sometimes meeting new people I will tell them my name is Liesel, or Lisette just to add some spice. :)
I like my name. It's almost always pronounced & spelled correctly. i've met a few Lisa's over the years.
My name is Lisa Dawn. My mother decided to name me Lisa instead of Lucille (after my grandmother) Thank God! My mother also said she got the name off of the'soap opera "As the World Turns" I think. One of the leading ladies (mean, conniving character) was named Lisa. I think she just liked the'soundof it. I like my name now but I was one of several Lisas in elementary school. One year our teacher make us Lisa A and Lisa B. I hated that. I love my name and I like it when I'meet someone else name Lisa. It is a derivative of Elisabeth - which has a beautiful, bibilical meaning.
My name is LIsa and i was born in the early 90s. It's really uncommon now, i've only met one other kid named lisa. There's a zillion moms named lisa though. I LOVE MY NAME!!!
my name is lisa and im loving it. every one i no has atleast 3 lisa friends but i am always the fav lisa so its neva bothered me really. all the lisa out there who aint happy with your name change it cause u aint a real LISA xxxxxxxxxxxx
My name is Lisa Marie. My mom knew that'she wanted my middle name to be Marie (after my grandma). She chose Lisa to go in front of it!
I love my name. It is pretty and simple and with all other names that are popular you don't find to many lisa's anymore! I even like saying it to myself..Lisa.. Thanks mom
My name is Lisa, i was born in 2004 and I'm French i didn't know that it was an american name...do you guys have an idea of a good nikname❤️lol i like my name, It's quite simple when You're little to learn how to spell it lol and a lot of people say that's a cute name!
I'm an old Lisa born in 1966. All the cool girls were named Kathy or Debbie. My middle name is Anne and I decided not to used my maiden name as a middle initial because I figured everyone would assume I was a Lisa Marie. I don't really like the name Lisa. I don't like the'sound of it but I LOVE it written, especially in cursive. My Italian grandmother called me LEEZA and I hated that! But loved switching the Liza Minelli song, Liza with a Z----see, that tells you HOW old I am! Lisas---learn the Lisa with an S song! : )
i love my name it is oveosly lucky because i have got a hot new boyfreind lol
I hate my name was well! Its too simple and too common for my taste and the descript of the name doesn't even fit my personality at all!
I absolutely love my name! Not many people at my age have Lisa as a name and It's unique! In my opinion It's sweet..
I'm a Lisa Joan, and I don't know anyone else with that combination (met a couple of Lisa Janes along the way, though). I used to HATE people calling me "Lis" (pronounced "lease") -- I would tell them, "I'm not a rental agreement, dammit!" I told friends that if they absolutely NEEDED to shorten an already-short name, they could call me "Li" (pronounced "Lee"). Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Cheers and a shout-out to all my sister Lisas!
haha so is it not only me who gets called 'lees' .. and yes im a lisa marie and i know 3 other lisa maries my age .. its such a common name but i actually do like it ! so for all you lisa marie's out ther .. We Rock to be fair!
My parents thought it was such an unusual name. I was born in 1980, just after Lisa Marie Presley was born and to this day everybody assumes I was named after her.
My name is Lisa and I just turned 60. I was named just before the name became super popular. There were no other Lisas in my class. I was always thankful my parents didn't name me the very popular Debbie or Linda from my era. It really bugs me when people call me Linda by mistake. The name Lisa is so much better!
mii names lisa. and ii kinda hate it. but it is cute and sometimes it fits mii well.
Born in early 1972, in Southern Ontario, Canada. My mom named me Lisa Marie(baptised name) because she liked it and had hardly ever heard anyone else called Lisa. Well over the years i've meet and worked with only a couple of other lisa's. I do think the name is somewhat boring though but It's mine! and it is easy to spot against other names. OH YA,I HATE the'song My name 's not Lisa"
My name is Isabella Maude, I go by Lisa. I love how It's pronounced in English but I hate how It's pronounced in Portuguese (Leeza) Sounds too much like Liza. I'm 12 years old and a lot of people call me Isabella or Bella but I prefer Lisa.
My name is Lisa Marie.. I use to think it was so boring, but now I think It's cute! I get called Lis, Lisi, Lisalisa, and Little Lisa.. i've only known one other girl to have the name Lisa all through-out my school years (and she was never in my class!) even if the name was popular in the 60's I don't really know if It's fair to say It's a popular name.. I'mean take a look at names like Jennifer or Ashley, now those are popular names
I'm Lisa Renee! Someday there will be nursing homes full of Lisas:)
My name is Lisa and I kinda like it. I'm named after anyone, so it unique in my family. When I was in High School, I'met atleast 3 or 4 Lisas. I never realised it was that popular a name until then. I was born in the 80s. It'seems the name is disappearing as the decades go, but I have a feeling it will come back again.
I'm Lisa Maria. NOT Marie. MARIA! LOL! There are so many Lisa❤️s residing in my area in PA! I can name 20 to whom I'm acquainted. I like the way my Italian name flows. I never really felt like another name other than Lisa since I have a cool last name! Two of my close friends are Lisa❤️s and people would ask to see our ID❤️s because they thought we were lying. I told them that we would❤️ve chosen a cooler name to lie about other than Lisa!
my name is lisa, and i am called lise also. and i absolutely love my name. It's so simple.. and so easy to remember, because anywhere/everywhere you go nowadays you'll meet a lisa.
I love my name, It's short, and not really girly. Girly names are gross.
I was born in February of 1978. My mom wanted to name Alicia, but my dad didn't like the name, so my parents settled on Lisa-anne. Fast forward to July 1995, and my mom was dying of cancer. While in a coma, my sister and I were sitting with her. She woke up momentarily and told me how beautiful my daughter Alicia was and thanked me for naming her first grand-daughter that name. The thing was though, I was 17, wasn't pregnant, and did not have any children. My mom died the next day, and a month later I was pregnant with my daughter! Whew!
HI'my name is Lisa, I'm 18. In my language, swedish, Lisa rhymes with fart=fisa. i've hade a fabulous life. xoxo ya girl Lisa fart
When I was born I was giving the Brian in 1974 and since felt excluded. But as the years passed,it became an exceptable name.
My Name is Lisa and I think that I have only met a handful of Lisa's in my life which I think is cool because the name is not used everyday
Everyone needs a shortened version of their name. Because, let's face it, our parents will call us by our name when we are misbehaving. That's why Robert becomes Rob and Jonathon becomes Jon and Debra becomes Deb. Well, what does Lisa become❤️ Lis :)(sounds like Lisa without the "a"). I love the name Lis - besides it keeps me from remembering just what a handful I was as a child - "badly raised❤️" Perhaps ;) (*read above on Bolivian jungle meaning of Lisa).
I'm named Lisa-Marie but everyone calls me Lisa and up until this year there was no one in my school with name Lisa (im in the fifth year now) Now there seems to be Lisas everywhere. I like my name and prefer it to Lisa-Marie it always sounds like im in trouble when people call me that!
My mom named me Lisa after a song she heard in 1972 while in the hospital having me. She originally named me Tamara and then she changed it to Lisa after hearing the'song on the radio. The'song that'says "Mona Lisa men have named you!!!" My middle name is Rose which I think goes well with Lisa.
I was born in 1985 and like my name. My full name is Elizabeth Suzanne, but have always been called "Lisa."
hi there, my name is Leisa." As you can see It's a special name and a special spelling, in other words unique way to spell my name. I am happy the day my dad choose this name for me. It is pronounce like "LeeSah" but I'll always have to spell it for people.
I have always thought that my name was fine until I visited Bolivia. There lisa means "badly raised" in one jungle language. They were scared of me there. I would advise avoiding the Bolivian jungle, or use a different name while you are there.
Lisa Marie - yes my dad was an elvis fan. Growing up I hated it because I always got the "elvis joke" but now that I am married it fits so well Lisa Little awww Isn't that cute beside I only know one other Lsia thank goodness
My name's Lisa and I'm 12. i've never met a Lisa that's the'same age as me in my school. I like how no one ever misspells my name. Sometimes i wish that there was another Lisa in my grade. We could become friends and share stuff together.
My name is Lisa-marie King & no my parents were not elvis fans! which i had 10 for evrey time some1 asked me that! i get cold Lisa or Lis i lke it dont know many other girls called Lisa!
My Nmes lisa-maree and being only 15 i used to hate it, ut its alright now, people just call me Lisa, Lis(lease) Lisey, and my personal favourite Lotty.
I'm Lisa Gail. I was one of 4 Lisas in my 9th grade social studies class, and it was kind of a drag to have such a common name, but i've always liked my name and I think It's pretty. Other than being called "Lisa pizza" for whatever reason, I had no problems with anyone making fun of it.
i spell it lisa, people call me lee, lise, i like that its so short, plus i play the'saxophone like lisa simpson. (no joke).. it CAN get annoying when people FINALLY make the connection btw me and lisa simpson though... and start singing LISA ITS YOUR BIRTHDAY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY LISA...(all you simpsons fans will know what im talking about...)
i personally like the name Lisa alot. I don't actually think the name is common at all and i think the name you were given by your parents rightly fit you. I know a friend who changed her name and it just doesnt fit right, unlike her old name which just suits her so well, and a name most people refer to her by.
I love my name too always did and wouldn't change it. I never come across that many people with my name I think it was a popular name in the 1972's (when I was born) & 1982's but not so much now as people like unusual names which no one knows how to pronounce❤️❤️❤️
my name is Lisa Terry, I was born in 1975, I always loved my name, it was very popular during that era, I always got a lot of compliments on my name Lisa just beautiful
I was named Lisa after my moms best friend. I like it better when people call me lise becasue there are so many girls in my school named Lisa.
I love my name! My dad and his sister both wanted to name their first born daughters Lisa Marie. My aunt had 3 sons and no daughters before I was born. I am the only girl out of 9 grandchildren. So I guess it was meant to be me. My dad was always a huge Elvis fan. I was born in '72 when'there were lots of Lisa's being born. Although...my name is not Lisa Marie. It is LaRee. :)
I'm Lisa Michelle. Always saying the "M" doesn't stand for Marie. (I'm a year or two older than her.) My name is mundane, but okay. Once, in college, there were girls in my class named Leisa, Lissa, and Leesa. That was inter'sting.
I was born in 1986 and Lisa in my area was very common growing up. There were always other Lisa's in my classes. The name Isn't bad, I just felt like it wasn't unique although maybe It's just my area❤️
I'm a Lisa Marie, and hated it in grade school. There were always several girls named "Lisa Marie" in my class. These days, I don't find too many other women named Lisa, so I guess it was a fad name...and It's true, I haven't met any young girls named Lisa either.
Born in the 80s, so it wasn't too popular then. I had one other Lisa in my elementary school class. I didn't like my name in middle school or high school, but i've kind of made my peace with it now. I don't know that I could go by anything else...
I was born in 1972 and pretty much always had other girls named Lisa in my classes. However, i've always really liked my name. It was my Mom's choice, and one reason she picked it was because it is easy to spell!
My name is Lisa Rose. Im 14 and in 9th grade. For me I think I happen'to be the only lisa that went to my elementary school and middle school. Its not very common around here. Sometimes i wish i had a longer name because my whole entire name consists of 11 letters. Its verty short but i guess it makes me unique:D
Lisa is my name. My teacher in the 6th grade said it wrong. Liza. That just got on my nerves. I have never met any one els with the'same name as me!
Born in 1981 and named Lisa like the rest of the "Age of Aquarius" babies. It's a nice name, just unoriginal but I think it will swing back around in style in the next generations. I'm a Lisa-Ann at least and not a Lisa-Marie...
the nick names for frances tend to come towords fenny
I am a Lisa from the mid 70s and there were tons of Lisas at my school - elementary, Jr. High and High school. I always wanted a more sophisticated name like Elizabeth. I did like that no one ever misspelled my name, and four letters made it easy for crafts we did at school. Now that no one is being named Lisa anymore I like it a lot better, and I always thought my name'sounded "cool". Cool girls are named Lisa!
I was born in 1977 and there where 4 Lisa's in my graduating class lisa ann, lisa karen, lisa renae, lisa jean, GEE who was Lisa in the 60"s-- she had a serious impact on our moms for sure...
I It always sounds to me like the name of a young person and for some reason,I can't picture being old with the name. It is easy to spot against other names. OH YA,I HATE the'song My name 's not Lisa"
I was born in 2012 so my name, Lisa wasn't popular. But Lisa is an AMAZING name and i LOVE my parents for giving it to me!!
Easy to spell. Easy to say. I just worry, however, that we Lisa's from the 60's are destined to be the Mildreds, Friedas and Myrtles of our generation. I am hoping the name ages well.
My name is Lisa Ann, I was born in the 80's and up until I went to college I only every personally encountered three other Lisa's. Two the'same age as me and the other my aunts best friend, born in the early 70's. I'met two more Lisa's at college and i have never disliked a Lisa and I have always been a fan of the name, no particular reason why I guess maybe because it is my name and my older brother picked it for me. I'mean It's not that common of a name like kate or jen i feel as if I'meet five a day. I think It'sounds nice also.. Liiiiiissaaaaaaaaa, yep I like it.
My name is Lisa and I love it. Of course through the years my friends and family have added in nick names like Lee and Lise (pronounced Leece). It's a fun name.
I'm Lisa Ruth, born in 1972. Always loved the name Lisa, but hated Ruth. Now I don't mind it and have starting introducing myself as Lisa Ruth. My mother's first name is Ruth and since she's 83, It's becoming dear to me. Every time I'meet another Lisa, I ask her what her middle name is; i've never met another Lisa Ruth. I just happened to meet a Lisa today at the optometrist office and she must have been in her early 20s - Lisa Ann. My parents said I was named after their friends' Basset Hound. LOL
All through my life, I was known for meeting girls named "Lisa". I used to think it was some weird obsession with the name, but I now realize It's because I was born in the late 1972's and it was that era's version of "Emma" or "Brittany" or "Madison" for girl's baby names. I even married a Lisa. I bet in 2050 there'll be some middle-aged person posting something similar about a name like "Madison" or "Samantha" or something.
12 Lisas in my high school (1990). I'm certain Elvis started the temporary surge.
My name is Lisa Marie I'm 13. I feel awkward with my name, I feel old and it reminds me of Elvis Presley's Daughter :(
I know way too many lisa's and they all have the'same second name Marie!
i love my name lisa. it is simple no one ever mispronounces it and it matches well with my surname.
When I find out i was going to have a baby I saw the name Kayleigh on a baby names website and decided it was perfect. i never even discussed the name with the baby's father, i just told him her name was going to be Kayleigh. Luckily he liked it too so i didn't have to do much convincing. Later I found out the name means keeper of the keys and then i liked it even better because i've always collected antique keys.
Ive always felt uncomfortable with my name...now Im in the middle of making a huge change to my life and changing my name entirely...both first and last. I want to change Lisa to Lucy. And Im so scared to tell my parents! I dont want to insult them, but I think its something I need to do for myself and I dont know how to explain this to people. Quite the predicament.
my name is Lisa Nicole. big kudos to my parents, because i think those two names just sound beautiful together. I'm actually thinking of hyphen'ting them to use as my first name. i was born in '91, so my name Isn't that common with kids my age but i know lots of lisas my parents age. i think that'shortening lisa is just unnecessary, i only let very good friends call me lise, and my best friend calls me lee.
My name is Lisa (middle name Ellen). I love my name. Its my surname that is prnounced wrong, never my name. But the author Jackquline Wilson did ask me do i spell my name with a z or a s, i replied with a s.
im Lisa Marie born in the late 80's!!My grandmother was well happy when she heard i was called lisa as she was elizabeth but mum said it was because she liked the name of elvis presleys daughter...ive had a few mispellings and pronuncations such as liza and pronounced lee-za its been shortened to lis.its an ok name but wish id been named something a little less known.
Mi name is lisa and im loving it.... i duno it just sums me up in one simple name lol....... u shudnt change ur nme bcoz dats who u r..... Lisa is a fab name and im loving it xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
My name is Lisa and I was born in 1992s. I was sometimes teased and called Lisa Liza Minelli which was later'shortened to Liza Liza Lot (Lisa lies a lot). Fun times. I plan to give my children classic names so no one can guess how old they are just by their names.
My name is Lisa. I was born in the late 60's. I went to school with a lot of Lisa's. I hated that growing up. You never knew if someone was callin you or 'the other' Lisa. I hated the confusion. I don't hate the name itself, just how common it is among my age group.
GAHH Im Lisa Marie. Named after Elvis presleys daughter and its also apart of my family. i was supposed to be named Liselott [which is swedish] Marie [marie after my moms bets friend] but my mom and grandma loved elvis presley so they chose, Lisa Marie(:
I'm a Lisa, I'm not sure if i like it though It'sounds too plain.
WELL MY NAME IS MACIE AND PEOPLE MOSTLY CALL ME MARCIE JUS TO BE FUNNY BUT I DONT REALL Y THINK OF NOTHING ABOUT IT .. IM A FRESHMEN SO I GOT USE TO It'sO IT LIKE A EVERYDAY THING
My daughter is Lisa Jessica, she was born in 2009! I liked the name lisa, because It's a short name and I think It's a beautiful name.
wow my naem is kaela too! im fourteen and i cant beili've other people have thier name'spelled like that! the only down part is that they dont make cute things with our name on it.. but we could use our nicknames, like kay.. i find a lot of really cute things with the nickname kay on It'so you other kaelas might wanna think about looking for things with your nickname on it! pcee
Every Lisa I have ever known has been a self-centered witch... (like every Jennifer i've known has been an egotistical know-it-all).
In my high school, there is nobody but me named Lisa. I dislike my name. Its just so boring, the only good thing about it is that its short. Its not a bad name, but its average. i've always wanted a name change.
It's such a happy name! It's easy to be cheerful when you get to introduce yourself as LISA
My name is Leesa and I have never met anyone with the'same spelling in England. People often pronounce it Leeza, but most people comment on what a nice way of spelling it.
I AM LISA SUSAN. I LIKE MY NAME. I WAS BORN IN DECEMBER OF 1981. I WAS EITHER GOING TO BE LISA OR DENICE. THANKS FOR MAKING THE RIGHT CHOICE MOM...
i liked that not too many people had the name, but the meaning doesn't fit me at all. i have never been terribly religious and as i have matured i have given up on the imaginary friend altogether
my name's lisa and I'm quite happy with it. Could have been worse and been called sharon or tracey!
My names Lisa and i've always thought it was boring and unoriginal. Elizabeth always sounded more appealing to me. Strangely, people often spell the name wrong thinking I said Something else like "meesa" or "ter'sa" probably just because It's short and i say it fast
I changed sex so got to choose my own name! I chose Lisa Jane and obvously I absolutely love it.
I'm Lisa Jane and I think It's such a cute combo. No-one in my class has ever had the name Lisa, even from P.1. Lucky me, eh❤️ I don't really like Lisa Marie. It's gone out of style. But I still like Lisa!!
I'm Lisa Michelle, born in 1974. I like my name. Not many people have it, but people know it and it doesn't get mispronounced. Not many young people with the name Lisa.
I was also named Lisa after the character in As the World Turns! My mom says that's the reason there were so many Lisa's in the 60's!
I'm Lisa Marie; born before the "famous" one. i've always liked my name. The only problem was in elementary school in the 70's; there was a lot of us. However, now I don't hear it that often. Also, seeing young girls being named Lisa. That's nice. I don't think It's an old name...sweet, romantic and i've been'told It's a "sexy" name. No complaints.
i really need to possess a life. PLEASE, SOMEONE DELETE THE NAME OR SOMETHING. i hate my name -_-
why did you name your kid unique if there is more than 1 unique's is the world
Hi I'm Lisa Jane I love Lisa It's so soft feminine and pretty.I drives me mad!! when It's pronounced LIZA or LEEZER.Cant people recognise the difference between an S and a Z❤️
I'm Lisa Anne. 1989. I grew up with my mom telling me Lisa was a combo between her'sister Linda and my dad's sister Leslie. When I hit around 38 my dad tells me it was really after a girl her went to school with in the 50's named Lisa who wasn't very cute, but was very nice to him. I like my name, but just today I was called both Liza and Leslie. No name is perfect I suppose.
In my personal opinion, Lisa is The Best name i've ever heard. Nothing compares to the'sheer elegance in those four letters. Meeting other people named Lisa is always so exciting. Back in middle school, I'met another Lisa for the first time, and we did this thing where whenever we passed each other in the hallway, I❤️d say ❤️Hi Lisa,❤️ and she❤️d say ❤️Hi Lisa.❤️ Nothing beats that'sense of camaraderie. I think the world would be a better place if there were more people named Lisa in it. Never mind that there❤️s already been a million or so of us. We need more. Nothing can stop us.
What's wrong with the letter C❤️ "Kaleb" was not in the Bible, "Caleb" was.
I'm Lisa Ellen, and I also have never met another with that combo. For the most part I love my name except when my family from boston call me Lisar Ellen. My favorite is lili, reserved only for those that are close.
I was born 80 days after Lisa Marie and I hated my name growing up, when'the teacher called on Lisa, half the class answered. When I was 8 yrs. old I saw my neighbors name at our lake home was Lissa and I started writing it that way and made it legal later. Now I love my name, it is me.
My names Lisa and my parents stupidly called my sister Maggie- how often would i be asked if i had a brother called Bart- or a dog called Santa's little helper.
HI'my name is Lisa Anne-Marie and I was born in the mid 60's - I like my name but I didnt like my name being as common as it was when I was at school - now days in my 40's I rarely come across another Lisa. I got called Lisa after my mother who is Elizabeth she had an Italian pen freind who like to call my mother Lisa. My sisters and friends always shorten my name to Lee or Lis which is no surprize being London and my husband calls me lisee lol. My mother'said when she called me Lisa she knew of no other babies who were called Lisa until Lisa Presley was born and then'there were Lisa's popping up everywhere lol. Still I think I suit Lisa, couldnt imagine being called anything eles and think it will be quite cool in 30 years time there will be tons of old ladies called Lisa instead of iris or gladis - whats strange is I became a grandma earlier this year for the first time and It'seems my daughters generation (80's) are calling their children after flowers my granddaughter is called Lily haha :D
Im Lisa Marie and I was born in 78 I was going to be Lisa Sian but my dad did not know how to spell sian so put marie instead. I hate being called Liza and I quite like my name. Its not popular at all now but I think it will make another appearance
I actually never liked the name Lisa and wished i could change it.My grandma used to call me lissa(sounds like melissa but without the me). When my boyfriend found out my g-ma used to call me that,he'started calling me that too because he'said he loved that name'so,now its kinda like a name change but without all the paperwork.lol
I am a Lisa Marie but I am older than Ms. Presley!! I like the name and friends call me lis Lees
I think my name is too plain and simple. It really annoys me. I wish I had been named Elisabeth or something, so at least Lisa wasn't my only name.
Im also a lisa marie but mine is lisa- Maree, Kinda sets me apart from other lisa maries!
My sister is named Lisa Paige, she is 14. She is super'smart and funny and she gets along well with children who are older around 6-10 when she watches them. She loves her first name but she absolutely hates Paige. Personally, I think the name'suits her'spunky personality!
Ouch!!!Lisa is an "old" person name!❤️! I guess I really am old!!❤️(born in '58).n Im Lisa Lynn, and i've always loved the'sound of those together..really symmetrical and lyrical, like a natural pairing.
Lisa is my name, Well my real name is Elizabeth, but this is a great nickname, Sweet and Simple!
I am a Lisa Marie born in 1991. Never really liked the name because I felt it was too short, not unique, no good nicknames, no cool meaning (hostname books said 'see Elizabeth'. No, my name is NOT Elizabeth, lazy book writers! I would've preferred to be named Lisa Marie as my first name, which I was called in 3rd grade since there were too of us. I can say that'school was as inundated with Lisas like it was with Melissas, Saras, Jennifers, and Jessicas, but I was jealous of friends with unique names like Patience, Amara, Serena, Darcy, Maija. I was surprised living in the area just south of San Francisco (where the electric koolaid acid tests were being conducted) that there weren't more far out names. Oh well, I don't mind Lisa a much these days.
Born in 1996, i've only known about 2 other Lisa's and they always seem to be very nice. I love my name, spcially since i was born on the 4th of July and when you put the L and I together in "lisa" It looks like USA, and I always loved seeing my name being celebrated everywhere
I was born in 1981...the year after Lisa Marie Presley...so hence, my name... Lisa Marie. Mom was a HUGE fan of Elvis'. i've always hated the name...mostly because I can't picture me in being a Grandmother with the name Lisa...that and I can't stand the fact that I am named after Elvis' daughter.
if you are thinking of naming you child lisa please DO NOT. I'm 16 and i really hate it, its considered an old person name and its not inter'sting whatsoever. For a 45 year old its acceptable but not for someone born in the last 15 years. Also there are like no nicknames. Of course my friends love to call me Lasienaga (a girl from the catoon the Proud family) or Las for short.so think about that.
I'm another of the 1000's of Lisa's from the 70's. Sharing my name with someone in class or at work is just part of my life. I'm fine with my name and if asked to pick a new name I would just stick with mine. It's easy to say and spell and no one has to ask me my name twice. My husband has a more uncomman name with different spellings and he always has to correct people and spell his name. I would find that annoying. The only thing I hated about growing up with my name was that even'though if seemed like half the world was named Lisa, it rarely ever'showed up on TV or in movies.
Lisa is simple to pronounce. I think it is wrong for a boy to have this name. It is a girl's name.
My daughter's name is Lisa Jessica, I looooovee this name. It really fits with my Lisa, she's beautiful, smart and has a pure heart.. love u my princess...muah
My name is spelled Licia but its pronounced Lisa. Iv always not liked Licia because it was uncommon and both my schools spelled it Lisa and no one knew. I am 16 this week and goin into sixth form and i loove the originality of my name now, so it'll be spelt that way. I'll ask people whether they'd prefer to pronounce it Lisa or lee-see-a because i like both.
I'm Lisa June. Any other Lisa June's out there❤️ I have grown to love my name but there were so many other Lisa's in the 60's; my last name was Johnson and there were a ton of Lisa Johnsons.....
my name is lisa (obviously) i hate the name because It's so commend, boring and ungly and sometime people would pronounce it as Liza which i hate and people would say it all the time just to make me angry
My name is Lisa Renee. I am 25 years old. Born in 1997. All through school I was the only Lisa. i've always liked my name. It's short, everyone can say/spell it & It's uncommon for people my age. I also like that there Isn't a nickname. I wish I would have thought to name my daughter 'Lisa' one day. I think I fit the name Lisa though...dark brown hair, tall, lean, wears glasses, & smart/nerdy. Good name to call yourself! :-)
My name is Lisa Dawn. My mom told me I was named after Lisa on Green Acres (not sure why❤️❤️), middle name after my aunt. People call me Lisa, Lis, people usually know how to pronounce my name. I work with at least 3 other Lisa's
my name is lisa and it is ok i used to hate it but i find it ok now i know about 2 other lisas it is not a very common name, my parents called me it because they said it is a pure name i hate it when people call me liza! grrrrr
My name is Lisa Ann (1979) and my life partners name is Lisa Anne (1975). My family calls her Lisa Lisa and I am just Lisa. I like the name, and have never met a mean Lisa yet. A Lisa is beautiful, strong minded, and persistent. Really listen'to the name. Say it a couple times. It Isn't plain. It'sounds sexy. I hope for a come back one day, but not an explosive comeback like back in the day.
My name is Lisa. There were only 2 Lisa's in my school. It's not a very common, I don't think. So It's good. I like it.
hey, my name is lisa and I absolutely adore it! It'sounds happy en sweet I think. I haven't met many people with the'same name but maybe it just Isn't that commom in the netherlands.
I'm Lisa Michelle too! Actually named after (to a degree the other Lisa M - tho my mother wouldn't allow the Marie bIt'so a compromise was made. I don't see it as old either. 3rd most popular girls name the year I was born apparently ('72) I just can't stand it being shortened to Lis, Lise or Leece or anything like that. Also hate being called Leeza or Liza....my name is Lisa for christs sake!
name is Lisa and I was named after my moms best friend. I like it better when people call me lise becasue there are so many girls in my school named Lisa.
hey mY name is lisa too! AND I LOVE IT! I GET CALLED LISA LEESE, LEE, MONA (HAHA), LISA SIMPSON.
my name is lisa marie and i HATE IT!!! in elementary school there was a lisa in my class and as the years went on i had to hear nothing but lisa marie presley, lisa marie presley. now i am not saying there is nothing wrong with lisa marie presley but growing up and getting teased about having the'same name (lisa marie) is bad enough. my mom wanted to orignally name me desire and i wish she had.
I'm Lisa Kay and I really like my name. My friends often call me Lee, Lis ("lease"), Lisa-Lis, and Lisa-Lisa. Doesn't bother me a bit. Lisa was very popular when I was born, but I still haven't met many othe's named Lisa.
My aunt is named lisa... and she is prolly thee sweetest person on the face of this earth.... Also, my middle name is Li.... yes Li... this is because it is short for Lisa... but my middle name is not lisa... it just sounds to weird with my first name... Michelle Lisa❤️❤️❤️❤️ Doesn't work...
I'm Lisa Evelyn and although I was bored with my first name as a kid, and there were always other Lisas in my classes, as an adult I really love my name! I get called Leece, Little Lisa, LisaLisa, Leecey, all kinds of fun stuff.
I'm Lisa Ther'se and I was born in 1973. I had no idea my name was so common in the decades I was in school. I don't remember there being a lot of us. i've always liked it.
Lisa is a wonderful name! It's feminine and pure. My late Dad named me Lisa Tracy. I adored him and the names he chose for me :)
My fiance's name is Lisa. A very short, yet pretty name. Some days she has said that the name irritates her, but I know she likes it. I really think that the name encapsulates all that'she is. Beautiful, caring, broody, intelligent and soulful.
I am Lisa Michelle, I am 41 and there were at least five other Lisa'a in elementary school, we would call each other by our last names
I was called Lisa after my auntie also, and i used to hate my name! I always thought it was far too short. I was born in 2004, a pretty common year to be called Lisa really.. However i am not a Lisa Marie, I'm a Lisa Mary :)
My daughters name is Lisa Jessica, and I just loveeee her name. Its a beautiful name and you don't hear it much. I also have 3 boys Isaiah, Landon and Ashton.
well, I'm actually in a 4th block class with a Haley. and she has her good days. she has a major crush on light skinned drum majors that graduate in may. but she's an overall cool person. she just needs to open up some more.
Natural parents named me Lisa Anne and adopted parents always called me that and sometimes Lee. They also dropped the "e" in the'spelling of Anne. In high school I was called Lee or Lise. Adopted parents hated that!! I would always hear them say, "We named you Lisa Ann". There are too many Lisa's (even a sister-in-law) and I am not a fan of the name. However, I do like LisaAnn and I also spell the two names together. Even'though I introduce myself as "LisaAnn" spell it that way, people will always say, hi,"Lisa". I hate it and always correct them and reply, is it too difficult to say "LisaAnn"❤️
Although there were always other Lisas in my classes at school, now I don't find too many. It is funny to hear that it is now considered by some to be an "old person's name." I am 41, and I guess that's pretty ancient when you are 16. I guess "Lisa" is to girls these days what "Elenor" was to me when I was 16! Yikes!
I'm Lisa Judith. i've never met anyone else with that combination. There were tons of other Lisa's when I was little because it was the most popular girl's name of that year. Now I don't meet so many. From other people I get Lisa-Lisa, Lis (prounounced lease), and, from a wannabe poet, Lisa Pizza.
When I was younger I wanted to change my name, but now i like it - apart from all the mispronunciations. Carmella, Pamela, Camille etc. When I introduce myself and people look like they're struggling, I say - "as in vanilla" then people get it
so this is my name as well. i like it when someone asks me how to spell it....im like uh lisa. i dont have much nicknames. lise, lisalynn. but thats my bf calling me that. im trying to think of something different... i like li.. OR EL...im sorry but lisa is such a blah name. plus its hard to get a nickname from this ther's only 4 letters... :(
I have always found any woman with the name Lisa was bad luck for me. usually vicious and rude. I'm not talking as a girl friend, I'm talking just as a person in a store or a coworker or classmate back in school, its a nasty name and I avoid it like Jens, Melissa and Tessa. show me any of those names and I'm out of there.
I was born in 1983 in WI. I was always know as 'Lisa W' because there were several girls by the'same name. I couldn't even go by 'Lisa Ann' because at least three heads would turn. I have never liked my name because of how common it was and I always considered it a good name for a cow.
My name is Lisa and I love my name. I know three other people with the name Lisa. They always pronounce it correct except they think its somethimes spelled leeza or liza. The correct pronounce is like this lee sah. All the other Lisa's that I know seem to be nice..I guess anyone name Lisa has a great personality and is nice.
I never thought about it much. Men always seem to find this name'sexy. I had a guy tell me "I never met a bad looking Lisa in my life." And he wasn't saying it in a Eddie Haskel kind of way either.
my name is Lisa and i kinda like it at times but i kinda hate it too. sometimes i like that it is short and people know how to spell it, but at times i wish it was longer'so i could have a nickname other then "Lis" i guess no one ever pronounces it wrong, and where i live it isnt so common, so maybe its not that bad. nice to know some people like it! :D
