My name is Nettie. My mama was named Nettie that is who I was named after. Where as my mama was a little more subdue I'm a lot more hyper, so I get called naughty Nettie or nutty Nettie. I don't appreciate either and most of the time it is misspelled and most of the time it is pronounced wrong. I have actually had someone spell it NeddI'male version.
It is my middle name. Named after my grandmother and proud to wear it for life. My first name is another family name, after my other grandmother....love it as well. And I am a baby boomer.
This was my grandmother's name. She was born in the later 1800's. Her ancestry was American Indian and Dutch. Go figure where the name came from for her.
I have not met many people with my name. I was named after my grandmother. I have been asked often if it is short for anything. Most of the time my name is pronounced correctly it is mainly misspelled.
NETTIE IS MY NAME I WAS NAME AFTER GREATGRANDMA NAME AND GRADMA NICK NAME HER MIDDLE NAME WAS JEANETTE
Nettie is my name and I was named for my father's mother who was was born in 1901. She had 13 children and I am the only grandchild (out of MANY) to be named after her. Both of my children are boys (no Nettie's there) and neither of them want to have kids ❤️
My name is Jeanette my family and extended family all refered to me as Nette or Netty/Nettie. I have friends who call me Jeanette, friends who call me Jen and friends who call me Netty. I seriously did not like Nette or Netty growing up, but now I don't mind at all.
