My 6 yr old daughter's name is Raina, and I love it. didn't even really consider it until the end of my pregnancy, but it was a name that both her Dad and I liked and it just seemed to suit her once she was born. I got the'spelling from a girl we both knew for growing up, and I liked the organic nature of it. I really love all the meanings of the name aos well. I am part German, and Raina means strong & mighty, which fits her as she was a tiny preemie. I'm also part French and her Dad is Mexican and its meaning (queen) in both languages. I didn't know It's Hindu meaning, but that is cool too. I love how she is in 2nd grade and has only met one other Raina (though spelled Reina), and that was just briefly at a store. There is no one at her'school with her name. Her full name is Raina Rivers Ruby Duran (Ruby was my Grandma's name). The Rivers is something my Husband was going to name her if she'd been a boy, and he likes the name'so much (despite my reservations). I know the full name'sounds a little hippy, but I love it, and it definitely is unique.
