My name of course. Well pronounce it with a first long E which I don't do. Spelling it wrong...well I guess they in US always spell it with 2 CC's instead of 1. Correct would have to be the hebrew origin of it RIVKA but frankly I don't know. I know 2 friends, my grandma (RIP)and cousin. Grandma i know she never experienced any trouble in writing or pronouncing because she lived in Mexico but us Rebecas that live in the border or in US get our names spelled with 2 CC's always.... I don't have a problem with it. I love my name ... it is a strong name... it is biblical and attached to a great love story (well I think). It means chosen, binding and is a name that has been blessed. i simply love it!
That's my daughter's name...Rebeca Julia...Full of life, cute and curly!
This is a great name. Friendly, unpretentious, classically American. It's my grandfather's name. I'd like to name a little boy Ted. Old-fahsioned, but not odd. Just clunky enough to be cool, like thick dark glasses on Clark Kent.
People often spell my name wrong, i always end up saying "rebeca with one c" I am 16 and my generation has few rebecas. Spelled in any way. I beli've there are only three rebecas in my school, which is about 1,000 teens. I really do like my name, its unique. I often am called beca from my friends, but strangly my family are the only people that call me "becky" and thats the way i love it.
