I have yet to come across a boy named Robin in the US -- aside from Robin Williams. Elsewhere in the world, it is masculine. I guess that explains why everyone would double-take when I introduced myself in Kenya, and was even called 'Robert' by a few! Also, oftentimes the feminine spelling uses a 'Y' in place of the 'I' -- Robyn.
