My name is Sydney Rae. When I was younger both my first, and middle names were kinda unique. Now just about everyone has them. I like my name, but the meaning isn't very flattering.
My name is Cydney and I love my name and the way it is spelled. I think because it starts with a C, it makes the name more feminine. My middle name is Cathryn and I also like it. My mother chose these two names because she she wanted my first and middle name to start with the same letter and she likes the way my monogram looks (cMc). Also, she said if I didnt like my name I could call myself "CC" or "Cat" :)
Sydney is a really nice name! I would name a girl "Sydney" but since it's becoming really popular, I'd have it be a middle name. So there isn't too many "Sydney"'s when the girl would go to school . . .
Sydney is an absolutely great name. I named my daughter Syndey Genelle. I call her syd as well. She responds to it so I guess she is okay with it.
I LOVE my name. My parents chose between the twins who played the littlest girl on Little House on the Prairie. There were twins names Lindsay and Sydney. I have MANY nicknames, Syd, Syddy, Syds, Squid, Sydnosity, Sydvivious, Sydneroo. I was NEVER teased about my name growing up, but I do tend to give geography lessons to people. They ask my name, I say "Sydney", and I always, say "Just like the city" so they know that A) It's no Cindy, and B) how it's spelled, assuming they are smart enough to know that Sydney is a city.
