I am named Zelda. I love it because it is unique and not a lot of people have it. I have not met one other person with my name.
I love this name; very unique. Zelda WillI'ms (Daughter of Robin and Marsha WillI'ms) is an actress who's a beauty. I'm also fascinated with Zelda Fitzgerald; she was a unique and talented writer and artist in her own right. If I ever have a baby girl, I'll name her Zelda.
I have always loved the name "Zelda", regardless of the video game. I do love the video game, and plan to name my daughter Zelda someday. I hate boring everyday names.
This is my daughters name. I love her name. She was born in early 2016. We are just now seeing personailzed items for her. There are many people who when'they look at her name, mispronounce it too! (the EIGH messes them up) It is a great name! She is a great little girl!
my dad asked me what I will name my kids when I finally get married and have a family. I said that I would name my son Wolfgang and my daughter would be Zelda. I am a fan of the videogame but I really love the name, my dad does not understand, he thinks I am an idiot even'though I point out real people who are named Zelda (I specifically named Zelda Fitzgerald). He can't see past the videogame and just judge the name for itself. "rant over"
I hope I don't offend anyone, but when I rescued my beautiful Doberman she didn't have a name. One look at her and she just had to be Zelda, because, just like F.Scott Fitzgerald's wife, she was tall, very elegant and slightly loopy. She brings me true happiness and I know that, like a battle maiden, she would fight by my side to the end. It's a gorgeous name and I wish my mother had named me Zelda instead of Veronica.
i love my name.its uniq and different.im 30 years old and i never heard anybody named zelda exept on tv.and its nice to have a different name.
My names Zelda too and I'm 11 and everyone Aks if I'm named after the video game but I'm like NO I'm named after my great grandmother :) Witch is even better!
I know someone who named her daughter that poor kid... :(
I love the name Zelda and have considered using it. I'm not sure though. I worry that It's too unique and my kid would get made fun of. We might use it as a middle name or a nickname. It's so pretty and I have often'thought that it would come back again.
Very cool name---mysterious and feminine at the'same time. Someone named Audrey would seem intelligent, beautiful, and very independent.
Hi I'm a 39 year old Zelda and I love my name as I'm the only one. I'm expecting a baby girl in 2 days time and will be calling her Zoe as I love being a 'Z' name. I was called Zebs as a kids and that is my nickname which I also love. Also called Zellie, Zebulon etc and the witch from Terrorhawks, but it is a great name.
Yes, my stunning 12 month old has this name. My kids have given him the lovely nickname Mally. He is a brilliantly comic but also very serious personality- extremely determined and likes to give and receive huge quantities of affection. He was an intensive care baby at birth due to many factors, mainly meningIt's, hospital superbug and required constant medical procedures and transfusions. It was said by a doctor that his recovery was miraculous. I didn't choose his name- it came to me when hopeless next to his incubator- very god given.
My name is zelda. I'm fourteen years old, and its sometimes hard because some people find my name weird because of the video game. But i think its unique and i like that no one else is named zelda
soo...how do people feel with this name❤️ i think its in a video game or something. I have never met anyone named this!
We named our 2nd some Ethan...funny we didn't know that it meant FI'm but It'sure fits...he's 2.3 years old and doesn't back down!
When I think of Addison, I think of Grey's Anatomy. I love that name and I love that'show. Plus my neice when she is born will be named Addison. (She's not suppose to be called anything but Addison but I am going to call her Ad or Addie)
My step-grandmother Zelda is a horrible witch. She has widowed 5 husbands including my grandfather Howard who was SUPPOSED to be on a low sodI'm diet (Zelda made sure otherwise) And when he died she made sure my mom, aunt, and uncle, got NOTHING from their childhood home (and land), She'sold it, took the money, and plans to will it to HER kids, from a previous marriage, who have NOTHING to do with my grandpa or have any memories AND are OLD enough to be my moms Parents! Aaaaargh! Horrible horrible witch!
I absolutely love the name "Zelda." If I ever have a baby girl, "Zelda" will be her name. Zelda WillI'ms (daughter of Robin WillI'ms) is an up and coming actress and writer. The video game association has never bothered me...
Once the game came out, this name became automaticcaly a no -no.
My name is Selda.SELDA is a Turkish name which means flood running from the mountains. It is hard to say people my name.I don't know the reason of the'similarity between Selda and Zelda but the pronounciation is very close to each other'selda is a rarely used name in Turkey like Zelda and it is an advantage for all "Selda" named people
Zella Day, check her out on music myspace. She is definately a Zella!
I love, love, love this name. There's just something so fantastical about it. I was thinking of a letter that I would like my daughters name to start with and I liked the letter Z because it was unuasual and not too many people have this as an initial. Then, I was thinking that i like just Z so much that the nickname'should be Zee no matter what. SO, i was thinking of a good name with the letter Z, and i wanted it to be kind of old fashioned as well. I somehow remembered F. Scott Fitzgerald's wifes name(him being on of my favorite's aside from poe)Zelda. Aha there it is such an amazing name! Who cares what other people might think of it. And besides that new movie 'The Beautiful and The Damned' is coming out sometime this year. Maybe more poeple will start to accept that it is not just from the video game.
When I was 20 weeks pregnant and found out I was having a boy I knew I wanted a unique name. I opened a baby book to J names because I like J names. The'second one down was Jace. I fell in love. It took some convincing to his father and when I would tell random people they didn't seem to like it. This made me like it more. I think It's the best boys name on the planet. My son is Jace Christopher
I am 50 yrs old and I do not know how many times when asked my name.I say Zelda they always ask me "is that your real name". I love having a unique name and people seem to never forget your name
zelda's an awesome name besides, if your kid doesn't like It'she can just tell everyone to call her "Zee"
It is my middle name. and so many people love it. It was my grandmother's name and my mom named me after her. I love it because it is so unique. People don't mispronounce it or spell it wrong. They either'say its cool or think of the video game.
We named our Gordon Setter puppy Quinn. We wanted a Gaelic name and it fits his strong personality. It is also short and good for training purposes. If I were to have another'son I would have named him that. I also like it as a girls name.
my name is zelda am from northan lraland i dont no any one with this name i love my name because my mum gave me it.but i did get made fun of because it
Thats my name and I'm proud of it. I would rather be the only zelda then share my name with a thousand over girls.
Name of someone I know. It's not mispronounced or spelled and is not heard often.
I love my name Zelda. It's just so different than other names i've heard. It is so unique and it totally reflects my personality sometimes. I feel like i have this special connection with the name.
my names Zelda and I'm still in high school and the only person i've met with the'same name was my drama teacher in primary school.
I love it!! i've only known one Zelda; she was in my class during nursing school, and she was a very nice lady. Zelda (the name) has great energy for me. Zelda WillI'ms is another lovely bearer of the name.
My name is Zelda and I am from Slovenia, Europe. I think I was named after Zelda Fitzgerald. My name is very unique in my country and most of the people asks twice how to spell it - I think they are so dumb. I would love to meet a person who shares my name.
I like the name "Zelda." Three famous bearers of the name: Zelda Fitzgerald, Zelda Ruben'tein (Actress in "Poltergeist"; played the psychic "Tangina"), and Zelda WillI'ms. (Daughter of Robin WillI'ms)an actress. Unique and strong. Of course, there's "Princess Zelda" of the video games as well.
Zelda Sayre Fitzgerald, born in 1900, was the wife from 1920 of F. Scott Fitzgerald, and the name was popular in the 1920s on the Fitzgerald's account - but then in 1930 Zelda became seriously ill with schizophrenia, and her name has since become a term for anyone else suffering from that illness, in the'same way 'Greta Garbo' is now a term for a loner following the actress he'self saying "I Want To Be Alone" in the 1932 fI'm Anna Karenina and then Miss Garbo's being alone for the rest of her life until she died in 2002 aged 84. The Fitzgeralds, though, had shorter lives than Miss Garbo did: in 1940 F. Scott Fitzgerald died of a heart attack brought on by his alcoholI'm (he was aged 44), and in 1947 Zelda died in a fire at the mental home where she'spent her own last years.
My name is Zelda. I always get positive comments. It's unique but not crazy.
We decided to name our son Xander for two reasons. The first because we wanted something unique but not too unique. Nothing that will cause people to ask "what the heck were you thinking❤️". The'second reason we chose "Xander" out of all the'semi-unique names we found was based on the movie "XXX" with Vin Diesel. Both hubby and I enjoyed that movie and liked the toughness of the character. Overall, we've been pleased. Our Xander is 2.5 yrs old and we always get compliments on his name. The only drawback is having to explain to people that his name is NOT short for Alexander.
My name is Zelda and I love it. It is sometimes annoying because everyone makes jokes about the video game, but it also means that everyone remembers me. I wouldn't change it for anything.
While generally in the boys' camp and usually considered grandad-ish as a male name, perhaps a little girl named Arthur wouldn't go a miss. It's probably because the word "author" for a writer is nowadays gender-neutral (in place of the earlier "authoress" which only ever indicated women writers and which is still used on rare occasions for such people). Mind you, a little girl named Arthur when she grows up wouldn't decide if she was Arthur or Martha at all, would she❤️ So perhaps it would be wise to consider Martha instead (unless you think that's a bit old ladyish, as in Martha Clark Kent from the'superman stories, to be used at the moment).
omg i love my name, zelda it makes me feel like a warrior princess. It makes me feel like im like princess laya, oh my i love the way she does her hair and the power of love she casts upon men.. anyways i love this name, i think everyone in the world should be named this name because its not that common now but i think It'should be.. i also think that the next universe we discover'should be the universe of ZELDAAAAA!!! :-D
My husband and I are planning to name our daughter Zelda. Some people think we are really mean parents. We think it is a beautiful old name that will allow her to be an individual.
Being a huge fan of the video game series, it is no wonder that I adore this name. I'm definitely going to name my daughter Zelda, no matter what anyone else thinks. After all, there are too many of those "trendy names" around.

My baby girl is due in 2 months and her name will be Zelda. My husband picked the name and I have been a little hesitant to get on board with it. I have to admit I do love the name, but I am afraid she will be teased in school. My husband loves the name and feels that people with unique, creative names end up being unique and creative people. Her middle name will be something more traditional in case she'someday does not like her first name and chooses to go by her middle name.

My name is Zelda and I have only met 3 or 4 ladies with the'same name who are in their 60 or 70's. Growing up I thought it was a name for an older person but I am so glad that I grew into it. I think it is a fantastic name and relish the fact that there are only a few other Zelda's in the world.
