I love the name Callum--it is a strong, masculine name--I also like that It's an old, traditonal-sounding name. Thumbs way up!
A good, strong, respectable name; with Scottish Gaelic roots. People in'the Un'ted States may n't be familiar with the'sound, however, and automatically hear "Collin" or similar, without a second thought. They may also hesitate to attempt to pronounce the written form and/or end up pronouncing "Cay-Lehn, Call-Uhm", etc.", rather than "Cal-Uhm" (as in "Cal" from "California"). The correct pronunciation is much more widely known within Europe and the UK, particularly within regions in or near England, Scotland, and Ireland.
I love this name and plan on giving this name to one of my sons in'the future!!! Love the nickname Cal too :)
i've had a negative experience with some idiot with this name lol XD *dab*

My brother is Callum, an he AINT no dove. I gives it a negetive star out a 100.
Generally It's alright. My parents like it - well of course, they chose it. But me personally I'd prefer'something that'starts with cal. I absoloutely love the name Caleb and make people call me that. But it has the coolest meaning. Callum means Dove. And of course a dove symbolises peace. :)
I named my son Callum Bradley. Once people realize how to pronounce it, it gets a lot of positive feedback. Most people will say cay-lum at first and it does get exhausting repeating it, but we nicknamed him Cal and we love it. If we ever have an'ther boy, we plan on naming him Niall. I think that'sounds like a good pair.
I named my son who was born in 2017 Callum as his middle name, we are US citizens but I fell in love with the name after the'singer Calum Scott made his debut on a singing audition
