If you want to call your daughter Cathy, let her be a Catherine and use it as a nickname. i've always found Cathy to look strange in print (It's my name) and am glad I can use Catherine professionally. As a nickname It's just fine.
There is only one other person at my school named Lee. We have never met, but whenever'someone calls to me I think they speak to me When I first told one of my old friends of my name change to this, she I'mediately asked ?But where did it come from!!? The last part of my name has a ?-lee? sound, but it is spelled like ?-Lie? I guess she'suspected it would be pronounced ?Lie?, as in Lye No clue. But anyway, I'm transitioning so I actually don't know if this name is masculine enough??
I'm Catherine and go by Cathy. I think I would have much preferred to go by Cat, if given'the choice. To me, Cathy conveys a middle aged woman who loves gossip, a "Chatty Cathy". This image really does not fit me as I am only 30 years old. Every time I'meet someone it always seems that they either have an aunt named Cathy or their mom is named Cathy. I will say that'spelling it with a C is much nicer than with a K. It'seems classier.
I think the name cathy is better than the name aiden
My name is Cathy Ann. Yes I get ?Is that with a C or a K? and then what is your real name and I say that is my real name. And they say no is it Catherine or Cathleen. I say it is Cathy. ?.my Dad called me KitCat. My friends Cat or Cathy.
I adore the name Cathy. But I think it is a bIt'strange written down. Ever'since the flowers in the attic came out in america, i have loved the name. I would like to call my daughter Catherine, but I shall call her Cathy for short.
I think It's one of the most beautiful English names. It is so feminine and gentle and has a delightful old English sound and spelling. I'd love to be named Cathy.
