I'm 41 now and love the name. My grandfathe's name was Donald as well, so thats where i got it. During my school years I'must have heard the name Donald Duck and Ronald MCDonald a million'times. Never bothered me that much though as i liked having a name that was n't that common at the time. Older people like to call me Donny for some reason, don't mind it though. i would get the Donny Osmond joke too from time to time. Did get the name Don a lot too and i think i told my dad to call me Don in'tead of Donald for a bit when i was a kid. Also lots of my co-workers would call me Don. Went back to Donald though as I liked the full name better.
Love it! My husband's name is Don, and he is tall, athletic, successful, decent, faithful, caring, unbelievably good-looking, healthy . . . I'mean he could be named an'thing and everybody would like him, but Don really fits him well. Donald is too formal in my opinion for him, as he is so easy to talk to and to know, smart and kind!
Donald is an OK boys name, but with Donald Trump becoming 45th President of the Un'ted States, will there be more or less baby boys given'the name Donald ❤️
My name is Donald. My family usually call me Don, but a few times I have been called Barnes. The people who work for my Con'truction Company almost ALWAYS call me Barnes. Of course the name of the company is Barnes Con'truction. Which was the nickname of my first Labrador Retri'ver.
My name is Donald and my experience has been just awful. i am 18 now and throughout my life in modern'times its been n'thing more than a problem
i named my first son Donald, because his grandpa's name is donald as well and his great grandpa and an uncle and he even has a aunt Dawn,so although his name is donald james we call him Deejay.
Go by Don. The name is a bit dated, which invokes the images sports figures and movie stars from the '50s. Growing up you get a lot of "Donald Duck" jokes. Nobody can accuse the name as being trendy, so it is n't all bad.
This is my name... I'm 13... but i spell it Kenadi... everybody says my name is spelled so pretty.. i kinda like it... but i guess i have no choice but too.. thanks for reading..
My name was Donald until I changed it. It's one of those names that are old and outdated like Homer, Elmer, and Waldo.
My boyfriend's name is Donald. He does n't think that Donald Duck or ROnald McDonald jokes are funny, but being associated with Donald Trump or "The Don" does n't seem to bother him. We are back and forth whether or n't we should have a Donald Jr. in'the future.
The drawbacks of being named Lynn. (I have never disliked my name, but it has come with a price.) 1. I don't know how many times i've had to correct people when I tell them my name is Lynn (even having to spell it out) because they thought I said "Glen." 2. Unless someone has actually met me or spoken'to me on the phone, they assume I'm female. They usually tell me that they thought I was a woman. (I do the'same thing, and It's my own dang name!❤️) 3. I have never met someone named Lynn (who was male) who was younger than me, and I'm in my 40s. The number of men i've known with that name, I could count on one hand. At a travel stop in Alabama, the cashier had the'same name as me, as did the guy standing behind me! I should have taken a picture. The odds of that happening are astronomical!
My dad, fatherinlaw, great grandpa in law ,brotherinlaw, and now son are all Donalds. Yes, a little bit of family name but we actually like the traits the name leans toward: strong (willed), successful, stubborn, likeable, ornery, smart, etc. As an adult only friends or close kins earned the right to call them 'Donny' or they get their lights knocked out...that's what Donalds do:)
My name is Donald. Hate it. Don uuuulllldd. what an ugly sound. I go by Don. But the name reminds of lower class unskilled labor workers. I don't know why that is. I am a blue coller guy myself and i've met far too many Dons in my career field. Wish I had a suitable middle name that was better, I'd use it.
My husband's name is Donald. He is in his forties and goes by Don. he was named after his uncle who was born in 1924. It'sounds sooo old. We have only daughters, but I never would have named a son Donald. However, I like the'sound of "Don" because I love him.
My name is Donald but but people call me don, I like both. . worked in a warehouse and over the radios many names sound like don , john, tom, ron, etc. So I told the office to just use Donald that way less confusion.
