Actually to get technical. Aaron is the feminine. Erin is the masculine. Although when looking at the name it seems it should be the other way around...which is probably why its switched now.
My name is Erin Nicole. I love my name because nobody has it. I hate when people call me Er I don't like when people spell my name wrong like Aren or Eren it is Erin Erin means Ireland and I'm Irish!
any of you folks trying to pick a name for your baby, Erin should definetly be on the list. i think its a great name for a child and an adult, very versitile. i personally love my name, plus it's short and easy to say.
My name is Erin and I really like it. It's not as common so as you might think anymore so there might be one maybe two people in the entire school that would have the same name as you child if even that many. and its unisex so its good for the parents who don't know what their expecting. Aaron is the boy spelling and Erin is the girl spelling but its easy to switch out vowels for a more unique spelling like Eryn, Airin, Eron, Airon, Aeron, Aerin, Eran etc. for the parents who want to add a unique touch to any childs name my parents named me Erin Elizabeth and I couldn't be happier with it.
My name is Erin Elizabeth too! I think it's beautiful!

My husband was born and raised in Ireland and his name is Erin Michael. Alot of people think he is a girl even with Michael. But Courtney is correct on how the spelling is to be placed.
Hi There, Perhaps in America Erin is a boy's name (and why not)but Erin is traditionally a girl's name in Ireland although I think it has been popularized more in America. It comes from the Gaelic word for irish- eireann (pronounced the same). Ireland/nationalism has been depicted in poems, literature and political cartoons from the 19th century as a beautiful young woman called Erin.
that is my name...its totally a girl name
Name the child Aaron if you like the general sound of Erin and are having a boy. Erin is a girls name. Aaron is a boys name.
this is a good name for a dog as it will ultimately make you pay by all means at its disposal, oh then it will take an'thing that is preacious to you and keep it forever, every thing else it will break or eat, just like a bailiff and a french one at that!
My name is Erin Nicole!!!!
I am Erin and a female, and I love it. Aaron in NZ is pronounced quite differently from Erin. I had a great Uncle Erin though but he is the only man I have ever met with the same name. Usually a girls name here. I lived in the UK for two years and was constantly confusing people with my pronunciation and strong accent. It was a real drama having to explain my name constantly and I regularly used my middle name Marie to save the hassle.
People keep complaining about girls having boys names..well in that case- boys shouldn't have girls names either.
I like it, going to suggest it to my son for the grand baby :)
My name is Erin and I love it. However, Erin IS a girls name. It means Ireland. Aaron is not a girls name, and is a completely different name. It is Hebrew and a boys name. I hate when people try to spell my name with an A. Erin Go Bragh! Literally means- Ireland forever!
My name is Erin Elizbeth too! I just thought I should share that. :)
