I am 47 years old. My mother gave this unusual name in 1976. I have met only one person in all these years that'share this name; and it actually was just a few months ago. I used to dislike this name when I was younger because it was always mispronounced. Even still as early as yesterday, whenever I introduce myself, they always say "Tina". LOL..Also, when I give my name and I say Keena Roos (Prononced like the flower-rose). They think Rose is my first name and Keena is my last name!! Oh well, makes me feel pretty special knowing I have a name that is shared with only 152 people in the US in 130 years!! ;)

It's unique! i've met 2 women'that have the'same name as i do, one was in a grocery store 8 years ago, and she'spelled her name kina, pronouced the'same way. the other woman is married into my family, she'spells her with an i as well. my experience with my name is people butcher my name by pronouncing it as ken-na tee-nuh key-on-uh keen-ya and ken-ya. before people meet me, they almost always guess my ethnicity as african american, don't exactly know why. but its a beautiful name! i love it!!
