Magen meaning

WOW , there sure alot of "kaelas'" out there! ive only met one other person with the'same spelling and that was at disney land :) i absolutly LOVE my name , and when people spell or say it wrong it makes me feel special that you can pronounce their name cause its common but unlike mine its not ! the only problem is when you have a friend named kayla and you spell it kaela ! ahah

I always thought it was annoying to have this name b/c people never pronounce it correctly, you can never find anything with your name'spelled correctly and in German language the word means "stomach"

Hello, I'm another Magen. I'm almost 23 and I like the rest of you have also never know another person with my name. What a wonderful thing the internet is. My mother came up with my name because she was watching My Little Pony with my elder'sister and she noticed the little girls name was Magen. regardless of the fact that I was named after a cartoon character, I love my name because it is different.

My birth name is Magen. I had people say or spell it as Megan.I never thought of other people having the name. I have only thought that I was the only one. I guess not now. Yes this is my name and I love it. It is a very unique name and I have never had to share my name with anyone and of course it is a name that catches a persons attention. It is a HOT name and very classy. My name is Magen, too. I love it, and very rarely hear it in Australia. I'm yet to meet another Magen, but I was told that'someone named their daughter after me which is pretty cool :) My best friend's name is Megan, and so is my step sister, so things get very confusing around here!

I am yet another Magen and only since college have I begun to LOVE my name. From elementary to high school I hated it because yes, no one ever'said or spelled it right and I refused to answer to Megan. And only after a recent trip to Israel did I fall in love with my name because I saw it EVERYWHERE! It means "Shield" in Hebrew and it is the first word in the English translation of "Star of David" which is said in Hebrew "Magen David." So needless to say, I wouldn't change my name for the world!
