We named our last born this in 2005. I found Ainsley in a name book and was hooked.We spelled it Ainslie because ley is at the end of our last name. Let me tell you this girl loves her name and always gets a great response. I think we may be responsible for it getting popular. There is an Ainslie street in Chicago look for it off the Kennedy Expressway. Also an Ainslie Lake in Canada and a tartan (Scottish plaid pattern) called Ainslie you can see online. Her'shortened family nick name is Ain-Z.

My maiden name is Quinn and we are looking at naming our first child, a boy, Quinn. I really want to continue the tradition of a mother's maiden name being used in our family.

It is a boys name. It is completely unfeminine and trendy. I pity girls named Quinn. They are saddled with a boys name and the few I have met have been very plain. I'm glad I have better taste in names.

Quinn is a boy name. I hate that people are using it for girls. Same with the name Ryan. Girls are so much easier to name and there plenty of nice girl names to choose from. Leave the boy names for the boys people!!

Hey my name is Quinn, I am 12 years old and it is really difficult to get mugs and Key rings with my name on them and the only reason why I do have t shirts and neck lasses with my name on is when my mum had it personalised e.g they had to make it there and then , it wasn't already made .I am female and I do get the problem that people assume that I am a boy but that is only when'they haven't seen me. For younger children, of course the are going to spell it wrong e.g my little brother thinks it has a w in and some people only put one n too but I don't mind . I find that most of the time people mis-pronounce my name and think I am called Gwin. Though it is understandable when I have a sister called Gwenny ( Gwen) . We named our son Quinn in 2015 because it was easy to pronouce, easy to spell, and not that common but also not rare (as in kooky). I'm not so fond of the nickname "Quinny" although sometimes people call him that. I prefer "Q"--only one syllable and he likes it too. Quinn does have a strong masculine sound to it as othe's have mentioned, which I like. He is living up to his name!
