Name Scott is masculine name that true ❤️ Scott is boys name and not girls name wish stop name Scott for your Daughter ❤️
I love being named Scott. It's common enough to be on personalized mugs and pencils, but uncommon enough to be original. Although, I will agree with an earlier comment: Hearing "STOP!" sometimes makes my head turn. It's never pronounced wrong due to its simplicity.
I agree: this is a case of the parent not thinking about the name's MEANING. WHY would you name your kid Scott if they are not affiliated with Scotland in any way❤️
The name "abdul" gives me a sense of fear and provokes thoughts of the antichrist.
I have always liked it. I asked my Dad who hated his given name (Clarence) why I was named Scott as there are no relatives or any of my parents friends with the name. he'said because nobody can change it and call you something else. I used to hate being called "scotty- potty" in grammar school but now I feel we are in an elite club!
My name is Scott, and when people forget my name they call me ❤️Steve.❤️ This has happened maybe 100-200 times in my 50 years. This inspired me to survey all the'scotts I know or meet, and It'seems that about 90% of the'scotts I have interviewed routinely get ❤️Steved❤️❤️ too. (The people I'meet named Steve never get ❤️Scotted❤️ though. But I understand that Todds get called Scott )
I agree with what Scott said. My friends call me Scotty Rock-it and I do "rock it"....heck, we all rock it, right Scotts❤️!!! S = Solid, C = CharI'matic, O = Optimistic, T = Truthful, T = Talented.
I like Scott, even'though I'm not from Scotland. It's a great name in my opinion.
My name is Scott and I like it fine! --It's a minor point, but too bad so many fictional characters named Scott are sort of lackluster (like Cyclops from X-Men).
this is my dads name. everybody calls him Jim. But, listen'to this, our last name is Smith!! he is a Jim Smith
I'm Scott. An American born in Scotland. Proud to be both!
It is a good name that has suited me well for the past 30 years.
I love being named Scott, it is one of those names that you can be called so many other things aside from Scott (scotty, Scottish, Scooter etc) and I think that makes it awesome. I have different people calling me different things all the time, my boyfriend calls me Scotty along with my family, othe's call me just Scott, and some old friends call me Scottish or Scooter. (no I am NOT Scottish lol)
The name is my daughter's. She was born 2013. I thought I was going to name her Lilly, but when'the doctors first showed me my beautiful daughter they asked me, "So Candace, what's her name❤️" and before I knew it I blurted out "Hailee".
Probably the most frustrating thing about being named Scott, for me, is that I am in no way from, or even remotely affiliated with, Scotland. So any possible meaning the name might have had is wasted.
I love my name, I am 40 years old and It's not very common in the younger generations. I was named after a song: watching Scotty grow
haha my dad's name is Scott and it fits him really well:)
I like it. It's my name and I think It'sounds friendly and cheerful. Born in 1993 I grew up with only 1 friend also named Scott and now although I work at a major Fortune 100 company where we have tens of thousands of people working in the city I work in, I still only really know 1 other'scott very well. I think It's endearing to be called Scotty by a lover or a close friend, but condescending when It's from someone relatively unknown. My mom picked it because it couldn't be shortened to anything else. A lot of people who don't know anyone named Scott tend to shorten it to "Scot" and misspell it. I think that's the one downside.
a boy name'should be scott because it is my brothe's name!
Scotty was my Grandfathe's nickname when he first came to Australia. I am a Scott with Glasgow blood who grew up in Queensland. I got Dotty Scotty because of all my freckles. Its a good name
i've never been really proud of my name. I thought it wasn't very manly or had much character. That is slowly changing. I too have been called Scotty by those close to me, Scotty too Hotty and Scotty with a Body, though I'm not all that. And then'there are the negative ter's such as sn'tty but that was years ago. Since I am the youngest of 6 siblings i've asked my mom if I was an accident. She claims she always wanted a Scotty. That's good enough for me.
I am now thirty and like my name fine. I didn't always care for it. I have had the gamut of nicknames. sn'tty Scotty, Scooter, Scotty, Scoot, Scotty too Hotty, Scotty with the body. If given a son, I would consider'scott as a middle name for him.
I like the boy,s name'scott , it is good solid name for a boy. when my first son was born I named him Scott he likes it very much. My best friend is also Scott it is a very good solid name for a boy, it is the best boy,s name I like
My son's name is Scott and he likes his name...after his father. Although, he did pick up a nickname of scooter when he was younger!
It'sounds like a old persons name but over all its ok
My sons name is Scott after his dad. We call him "Scotty" now, but I know that'soon he will want to be called Scott. His name is very uncommon now, and when people ask his name, I always get the'same reaction; "I really like that name... you just don't hear it anymore".
My son Scott was named after my grandfather I kept the family tradition.
tThe name is alright because I like a boy by this name and it fits him!
Scott is my husbands name. Many associate it with a tough guy. I give it thumbs up because it is easy to say. One of my little nieces first words was "skot" Inter'stingly enough, many of his relatives have not broken from their habits of calling him Scottie. I'd leave that for a puppy's name.
i think scott is a great name my best friend is called scott and he'suits it really well
I like the boy,s name'scott, if I ever got married my first born son would be named Scott, my best friend is named Scott. I feel the boy,s name'scott is a very good solid name for a boy.
It is my son,s name its one of the best boy,s name I like, my best friend is Scott it is a good solid name for a boy .
When my son was born in 2018 we named him Denver and absolutely loved the name the first time we heard it and still do.
Was never at all common as a male name, and certainly became much less so from the 1930s, when'the American child actress Shirley Temple made It'such a popular girl's name. Yet back in 1849, in which the central female character in Charlotte Bronte's novel 'Shirley' goes by the name, Miss Bronte thought of it as a "masculine cognomen".
Be wary if you are considering this name. The'sc- can be difficult for some youngsters to pronounce, and can exaggerate any lisp or stuttering issues. Also, one syllabul words begenning with "S" are common in the English language (such as "Stop" & "Sky") and can sometimes lead to confusion in some instances.
I'm Scott from Scotland. How easy is it to chat up girls from different countries with an opening like that❤️❤️
My Boyfriends name is Scott but we call him Scotty to Hotty
Being named Scott was ok with the'star Trek references. Then came the movie Eurotrip. Someone always has to sing the'song made about Scott's girlfriend cheating on him. The movie wasn't that great. It is a raunchy comedy that I assumed would go away after a few years. It hasn't.
I called my eldest son Scott 21years ago, I still love the name now, It's not very common and it can't be shortened. It's a good strong name and very easy for little ones to say and spell.
My is Scott and of course like the rest of you I had the'same "ScottI'ms". My family always called me Scotty Potty Mouth, guess that was the foresight that I was to become a sailor and a trucker too. LOL. But, I named my oldest David Scott and now my youngest, if a boy will be Linden Scott.
I wanted to name our final baby Price or Colby and my husband preferred John or Tom so we went through all the names in the dictionary and the ONLY name we both liked was Scott. Our son did go through scotty potty in elem school but in HS he was nicknamed Scottacus which he loves, and he's the only Scott among 600 students. A great advantage.
My name is Scott, and my nickname given'to me when I was a toddler was Scooter, though it had more to do with being a fast crawler then having the birthname, it was just a coincendence
