I saw the name "Tarik" on a t-shirt in a mall and thought it was very unique and inter'sting. I looked up the name and it meant morning star and warrior in Arabic. Since he was conci'ved over here in Iraq we both thought it was fitting for him. I am currently in Iraq as a US contractor and she of course is back home with Tarik. When you hear the name It'sounds very mascaline and strong, hints the meaning "warrior". When people initially hear the name they say Carrot❤️❤️or something to that effect.

My name is Tarek, but since I am Polish-Palestinian and speak Polish (not Arabic), the name is Tarik. I go by the "visitor of the night" meaning that I have found in some baby name books. I find it quite intriguing and mysterious, also powerful as some attribute it [positively] to guardian angels (coming to check on you). i've seen'the "warrior" and "guiding star" as meanings as well, both abstractly powerful as my personality is I find.

It's a horrible name. I curse my name because no one is ever able to pronounce it. If you are expecting a child soon then please do not name them Tarik. They will endure a childhood of suffering and they will hate you for it.

My brothe's name is tarik. Our dad is arabic, from algeria and my mom agreed on naming him this. All his friends and people around here say "terrek" and some people think its tariq which Isn't different, just the'spelling. My mom regrets naming him this because she thinks its too uncommon for a boy and that'she wished she used zachary instead. She thinks girls should have exotic and unusual names.

My son's name is Tarik, pronounced Taa-rick. He is 4 now and he likes it, however the name is really hard to pronounce right. They usually say Terek or Tarek. I am really regretting letting my husband win this one as it is a difficult name to pronounce. Man in general seem to love the name though.
