We have an Ariana and picked her name because of the meaning...holy. We pronounce Are-ee-ahnna not Airy. People more often say Airy though here in MD. We looked up before she was born that Are-ee-ahnna is the phonetically correct pronunciation but Airy-anna also has a very pretty sound to it.
my name is aimee, i love the was it is spelt as it is different and thats unique. however i dont like it in the form of amy which i tend to get alot.
My name is Aimee and I like it. I just like the'sound of it. It is short cute, spunky and elligant all at the'same time. I think it looks much prettier than Amy. I think th ename works well for kids and adults - have not met any middle aged Aimees or older though.
That is how I spell my name and i hae it. i want to get it changed, and i dont spell my name like that any moreunless it is on somethnig like a check.
My name is Aimee and I like it. It is different enough that you don't hear it too often. Yet, it Isn't so different that it is "weird." Over all, I like my name. I think the Aimee way of spelling it is much prettier then Amy. I do have to spell it for people often and that can be a little annoying. I like it though. There are much worse names!
I am an Aimee and I love being different from those boring A-M-Y girls! And I like being named something that means "beloved."
Aimee in french (spelled with the accent aimıe) means "loved" for females.
one of my friends spells her name like this and i think its really pretty. i think i want to spell my daughter's name like this! its really pretty
I love my name!! I love the unique spelling although when I was little I would complain that they didn't have pens and silly stuff with my name on them...but my sweet mom would order me stuff for my birthday and holidays that had "Aimee" on them so I would feel special! I think It's a beautiful name and spelling!
this is my name and I live in England. I always thought that Georgia sounded too masculine and harsh so i've always been known as Georgie which is very unque. It wasn't until I was 11 that I ever went to school or knew personally another Georgia. When I was 11 and moved down South (of England) I was suddenly at school with over 20 Georgia's, in only my year!! I had never thought of it as popular until then. When I was young people always used to spell it wrong. I hated it when'they pronounced it Ge-or-ge-a..It's pronounced jor-ja for heavens sake. I hate the'spelling Jorja tho!!
I love my name..its so different to all the other way aimee is spelt..its so different..i get called. jaimz, aimz, jim and heaps more.
my friend is called Amiee not Aimee, i prefer he Amiee way of saying it.
I love my name. I am glad that my mom spelled it this way rather than amy. I have to spell it to everyone, and it drives me nuts when people misspell it, but its ok. LOVE IT, LOVE IT
I love this name cause my BEST mate eva is called Aimee!
My name is Aimee and I think it is a pretty name. When I was younger people would comment on the'spelling and how it looked more pretty than Amy.
I named my daughter Aimee because it means beloved in French. It is such a pretty name'spelt this way.
My name is Aimee and I really like it. I only know one other A-M-Y so I feel like my name is both unique and sweet. My boyfriend says it is the'sweetest name
I like the fact that my name is different and a lot of people have complimented me on it. But a most people don't know how to spell it and I get tired of always having to correct them. Not to mention that in Spanish the name is really ugly sounding :P But its unique :)
My closest friends name is Aimee, and i love it. Aimee Lynn, gorgeous together, yet spunky and exciting.
One of my favorite characters from a childhood show is named Aimee! I think its such a pretty name, besides A-M-Y. I also love how you can pronounce it as Ay-Me or Eye-Me. They're both so pretty!

Aimee is such a stupid name. Only idiots have that name.
My name is Amy, and I always wished that my mom had spelled it Aimee, so that it would be a little more unique
I love the'spelling of my name! It's alot prettier to write this spelling I think than "Amy" It just looks more elegant! I too have had so many positive comments on how they love the'spelling of my name- and no one every mispronounces it! :) Thanks Mom!
How do you pronounce this name❤️ i've always thought it was a different spelling of Amy!
My name is Aimee, and I used to hate it, but I started getting a lot of compliments about it. The only annoying thing about it is when I have to give someone my name and i have to go "Aimee, no not like that, no, listen'to me it A-I'm-E-E, no with two E's yes wait no switch the A and the I. There ya go" its annoying.
The name'should, at least in Scandinavia, where It's rather a popular name, be spelled Linnıa and the'stress should be on the e. My grandmother (b. 1922) was Linnıa and I would love to pass it on to my children.
My name is Aimee and I like it. I hated it when I was a kid lol but as i've gotten older I have come to like it. My husband calls me Aimgel so at least he came up with a cute nickname for me!
It's my sister's name and she enjoys the uniqueness. I also think that the'spelling A-M-Y is boring and plain. The name'spelled A-I'm-E-E is so much more spunky and elegant just like she is.
I'm gonna be honest . . . Although Amy might be a bit too short, I prefer it (Amy has 3 letters like Mia, which is also trendy, and Ava/Ada,) over Aimee because of the 'Aim' at the beginning of Aimee. I just don't like it. Both are generally okay names though. Not anything bad or good to say about it I guess, one of those nice names that it would fit a lot of people.
I just named my little girl Aimee (pronounced eye + me). The reason is that my wife is Japanese. In Japanese her Kanji characters are Love (Ai) and Beauty (Mee). It's nice to have the name we wanted in Japanese and also to have a unique spelling and pronunciation.
