A people look at my name and thinks It'says annie. I have nave met anyone with the'same spelling of my name ever.
This post is making me like my name more than ever. I used to not like it because no one else seemed to have it except for one other girl in my class (born 1965). My younger daughter thinks It's very old fashioned - meh. I, like one of the other Nancy above, hate the term "Nancy Boy." I think It's a pretty name, and I also love being called "Nance." That is what my family and close friends call me.... was never a big fan of "Nan." I'd love to see it come back into vogue.
BEST NAME EVER! My dad chose my name, my mom chose the'spelling. As a child i HATED my name cause it was always spelled wrong. At school, all the teache's would read out, "Annie". But now that I'm older, I appreciate It's uniqueness. It wouldn't be my name'spelled any other way. Plus, Pure Prarie Leagues' song Amie, is actually spelled AMIE. ;o)
Ok, it is me again with all the girls who have ie at the end of their name....out of my four girls with ie names, this one would have to be the one i wish i hadn't chosen, just because alot of people read it annie...that is my sister's name and i didn't know that it would be mistaken for that
This is very neat because I really thought Hallie was very rare! I have so many people say my name wrong! Im in highschool and my PE teacher ALWAYS gets my name wrong! But I have had so many people say it wrong that I don't really notice anymore! I just tell everyone Hallie...like Halle Berry!
I have met only a select few my same name. I personally love my name and so glad that it was not just the plain spelling of "Amy". My name is a perfect fit. Yes people have misread and said "Annie". Oh well!
This name makes me hungry, and it will probably make you hungry too. Your child will also get teased. Don't name your child this.
My name is Amie and when people are writhing down names as they walk along I always have to spell out my First name and Last name. I wanted to change the'spelling in kindergarten but now I think its whatever. I am used to people spelling it wrong and in the long run it doesn't really matter.
My name is Amie - I love it. It is not uncommon but the'spelling makes It'special to me. Of course if I had a dime for every time someone sang that Pure Prarie League song to me....
I love the name Amie...I named my middle daughter this name after my Mom suggested Amy but I wanted something a little more unique...she was called Annie alot by teache's until they were used to her name... to the little ones she's Aunt Mimi...
This is my name, and I love It's unique and old-fashioned feel. It's coming back too, but usually more as a nickname than a birthname.
Yes very nice commnets , but hear this is also a girl 's name true or fals thank you
My name is Amie. I have only met at most only 5 other people with the'same name. People who don't know me can spell my name wrong alot a go with the more well known Amy but I correct them. I love the way my name is spelled because it is unique and different. I think the name Amie is more common in Canada than in the U.S.
Economies are in dire strtais, but I can count on this!
