(uh-lee-see-uh) is how i pronounce mine, And It's sad how wrong people pronounce it. I love my name, simply because its (more) unique than most. i've met 5 (uh-lee-see-uhs) thankFULLY with different spellings, -shrugs- but all in all its the most kickass name out there.
My name is alysia pronounced ah-lis-ah or alyssa I'met an older lady in cracker barrel with same spellin and pronunciation. I hardly ever meet someone who can say it correctly or spell it right. I also answer to anything that'starts with an a. I would suggest spelling it alyssa if that's the pronunciation you like. Other than that I get lots and lots of compliments on it. Some people i've known since child hood call me a-lee-cee-ah. Most always say alisha. i've also gotten elija lol
This is my name, and I love it most of the time, I'm pretty much the only one who has it in my town and It's really neat, [so when people are talking about natasha in school, i can be pretty sure It's me. aha :p] I do pronounce is "Nuh Taw Sha" but i've recently liked to be called Tasha instead. My best friend calls me Tashy or Tashika though. I haven't met another Natasha in person yet, though.
My name is Alysia and most people call me A-Lee-Sha. I also get called Alyssa, Alisa, Alice but not often. At anyrate, the name is pretty, the'spelling is pretty but most people struggle to pronounce and spell it.
I pronounce it like Ali-Cia. Not with a SH sound. I love the name and it Isn't very popular. Most people want to pronounce it witht he'sh sound. I found the name'spelled Elicia first and changed the'spelling to ALYSIA.
Alysia is my name. i've never met anyone else who spells their name this way, but i've met a few Alicia's with the'same pronounciation. I like having a name that is uniquely mine, but people contstantly mispronounce and mispell it.
My best friend/sister's name is Alysia...I love her name! I call her Ally for short or SiSi.
I named my daughter Alysia in 1988. I found the name in a baby book and liked the'spelling and the meaning "captivating and binding" in Greek. I didn't know how to pronounce it, but felt a-lee-sha was the appropriate way, since it didn't have the'same meaning as Alice and its various forms. My daughter has also had problems with people knowing how to pronounce it, so when she'started college she'started going by Ally.
My name is Alisa (A-Lee-Suh) and I named my child Alysia (Uh-Lee-C-Ya) because she looks just like me and I wanted her to have a name'similar to mine. This is the first time I have seen anyone with the'same spelling. We call her Lisa and she absolutely loves her name, and so does all of her friends. The people that mispronounce her name call her Alicia (or sha), But she usually insists that people pronounce her name right, or just call her Lisa.
2013 named our daughter Alysia and pronounce it just as you would Alyssa. Wanted to give her a unique spelling ❤️
my names is alissia (uh-lee-see-uh) in my opinion its the most mispronounced name ever i get alisha, a-lis-see-ah,alyssa. i want to name my daughter allisen because its sI'milar and different
Its my name and i love it! I pronounce it "Ah-lee-see-ah" People often spell and say it wrong but they get it right in the end! i have gotten "A-lee-sha" "A-lis-ee-ah" "Ah-lish-ee-ah" "Ally-sa" and even "Al-ee-ja"!
my name is alysia also. no one ever pronounces it right either. but when i correct them, they all love the way its spelled!! it makes me feel unique!
Alysia is my name and I pronounce it Alyssa.no one ever gets it right.
ok my names alysha (uh-lee-sha) i put that there cuz everytime some1 sees my name and doesnt no me they always say (uh-lish-uh) err.. lol anyway im writing a story and i want to put a girls name down as alicia but sound like (uh-lee-c-a) do you think it would work❤️
LOL at the person who said "I answer to anything that'starts with "A". So true sister. Mine is pronounced A-lisa, family says Lisa, everybody else--whatever'starts with A.
My name is Alysia, and i love my name but people are always saying it wrong... i pronounce it Ah-lee-c-ah. I go by Lecy most of the time now to save myself from having to tell my name over and over again! But all in all i LOVE my name~
people always pronounce it as alyssa. I'meet people named alysia but theirs is spelled alicia. its cool though because my name is spelled a unique way
my name is Alysia pronounced with a "sh". I almost never get called my the right name and some of the things people come up with is ridiculous. I get anything from Ashley to Elijah....no idea how that one came about. I just answer to whatever people call me, usually if I here an 'A' name I have to pay attention. I do, however, like that no one I know has the'same name. My nickname is 'Leash' along with many variations of that. Know that if you name your kid Alysia they will be called Ally or leash for sure haha.
My name is Alysia and people are CONSTANTLY getting it wrong. Usually 9 out of 10 people who meet me for the first time say it wrong. Just for the record I pronounce it A-Lee-Sha. Most people call me A-Luh-Sha (and by the way I have yet to meet anyone who says it like that). I also get Alyssa, A-Lee-Cia, and Alice. The first day of school is always a challenge. By the time I was 10 I just gave up and let people call me by whatever name they like. A lot of times friends will correct for me because it become too difficult to correct everyone. My only piece of advice for anyone considering nameing their child Alysia is to spell it Alicia. I find that most people are more fimilar with that'spelling and will tend to get it right more often. In the end i've learned to tolerate the way my name is spelled. It is unique and I have yet to meet anyone in the 20 years i've been on this planet who has spelled it the'same way. But please, if you have a difficult last name (like I do) reconsider the'spelling of your childs name :) ~Alysia L
My daughter name is alysia and I pronounce it as uh li see uh but people don't get it right the always pronounce it as uh lee sha
My name is Alysia and i've met a coupe of people with that name but spelt like Alicia. i've had many variations of the name like Alisha, Alyssa, a-lee-sh-a, whenever I start a new year I have to go through the month of correcting my name but now i've kind of given up, (One of my teache's still call me a-lee-cia) But I love it and I can have many nicknames such as: Lissy, Alis (Alys), Lis (Lys), also It's unique and I think It'suits me.
