Catrina meaning

I like this name because its my name and where i live i havent heard of any other people thats called catrina only people called katrina. the bad thing is that everyone spells my name as Katrina

Hi, my name is Caitrıona (correct gaelic spelling ;)) and I love it, especially the'spelling. My Mum just loved the name and wanted It'spelt the Irish way. My name is Catrina! I used to hate it when i was in elementary school cuz you could never find any pencils with your name on them. My sisters had names like Mary, stacy,and Ashley so I always felt different. Now that I'm in high school I love it. When someone mentions catrina, I'm the only one in my town with that name'so everyone knows that its me. I love being different! And as far as the pencils go, they have there where you can make your own name, so I don't sweat it. Most people spell my name with a K but It's aight, everyone still knows who I am and i've even adopted the nickname CAT......Thanks Dad for not letting mom name me something "normal"

My name is Catrina and I agree with some of the comments above...growing up I couldnt ever have anything with my name on it unless it was "specially made"...so that kinda stunk. Also, When I'meet people I usually have to say my name more than once since it has 3 syllables I think it may be kinda hard for people to understand me! But, other than that its a good name!!!
