I am 34, and my name is Klara (the eastern euro spelling). I did not like my name as a child, yet no one ever made fun of it. Now, everyone tells me they love my name. i have grown to like it, and its meaning. I woul dcall it a "retro" name, a hip granny name like Olivia or Emeline.
My name's Clara and I was named after my great grandmother. I wouldn't call it 'retro' though.
I happen to like this name because I am a professional child ballet dancer and Clara is the main character in the nutcracker:)
