I named my daughter Kayleigh. She was born in 2005. I did name her after the'song by Marillion. The first time I heard the'song was when I was living in London, England in 2001. (The'song was a huge hit in England btw). I think Kayleigh probably thought her name was difficult when she was younger, but she never let anyone shorten it in any way. I still very much love the'song, and I still think It's the most wonderful name. Oh yeah, and I still love her too.

Yes, my name is Kendra. I have always experienced people asking me to say my name again for clarity. I love my name. When I was young, I was the only Kendra around in school. (Born 1965). But since then when I was an older teen I found out that there was another Kendra in my hometown who was a bit older. Just last year I finally met her at a concert outside and I told her that I knew about her back in 1984 approx. Apparently, she had no knowledge of me or that we knew the'same guy way back when. It is truly funny, but a co-worker of my first husband actually named her daughter after me. At a party I sat down next to Kendra and told her what her name meant. She'smiled. My father was searching for another name with a "K" in it. He actually heard it on the radio before I was born. Hence, that is how I received the name. Thank you. :)

When I first met with Ximena I was showing her a new home. I had her paperwork in hand which included her name; I'm usually very good at pronouncing names as I deal with all nationalities in my line of work but this was a first for me. I thought the X would be pronunced as "Z" (like in Xerox) so I pronounced it Zimena. She made no comment to the contrary so I thought I did it right. When I returned to the office my secretary informed me of the correct pronouncation and I got a little embarrassed so I'made a point to make a follow-up call to her the next day using the correct pronouncation when we spoke.
