My name is genevi've and honestly its the best name in the world, I couldnt imagine having a name that everyone has, I get my name from my great grandma. People always say it wrong but thats cool cause i like it to be hard, i always have to say it 10 times, i like being called the french way but most people call me the american way or whatever.. Everyone i know just loves my name, people love to write my name really pretty, and give it to, i get plenty of complements on my name, I am going to naem my daughter Genevi've, kinda corney but i'll just use the french way cause its sexy and she can'take the american way!! Well my parents named me Akira because they wanted to name me after Kira from The Dark Crystal, but they wanted something rare so I guess they just added an ❤️A❤️ to the front. In Australia a Genevi've over about 35 is probably a Roman Catholic (as I am) but now it is quite fashionable here with everyone. My nieces sometimes say Jon-vee-ev thinking this is the French pronunciation, but when i've been in France I notice they actually say Gen-eh-vee-ev. The first syllable is a flat 'e' as in Ben. The'second e is pronounced gently. It's actually a four-syllable name in France. The last 'ev' is also quite flat - note that in French there is a grave on the'second last e giving it a flat sound. Also FYI the'street in Paris was called Rue du Ste. Genevievre in 2001 but when I went back in 2017 the r had been removed.

I absolutely love the name Genevi've!! I don't have any daughters yets but my husband also loves Genevi've but we disagree on nicknames. Ginny or Vivi...❤️ I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Genevi've is an old family name and I'm so glad that I gave the name to my daughter. It is unusual and beautiful. But...It's like nails on a blackboard when I hear people show off and incorrectly pronounce the French version. The first syllable should be zhuh or zhen NOT zhawn.

We have just named our second son Malachi (b. Feb 8 2018). We opted for it over the Irish version Malachy because we think It'sounds stronger. Family reaction has been mixed "It's a bit unusual" etc and getting pronounciation right (Mala-Kai not Mala-Key) will be a hurdle. But friends like it and we have heard of no othe's.

Its really funny, because i used to never meet other people with my name. But as i get older, It'seems to get more and more common. I love the name Evey (after my great aunt Evelyn) and my wife likes Genevi've, so Genevi've works great for us, since Evey can be a nickname for it. Genevi've is one of our top names for our daughter who is due in 2021. i've done a lot of research on this name.
