I love the name Kale, it is what I named my first born son..after'shia Labeuf in Disturbia, not the vegetable..only a hipster would know that Kale was a vegetable. The closet hipsters are the ones mocking the name for being a vegetable.. how else would you know It's a vegetable❤️ They are also the ones naming their kids after cars that they will never be able to afford.
We named our son Kaleb because we liked the name Caleb but had a family thing going with a lot of K names. The'switch was only natural. The only problem we run into is that, when people read his name they always want to pronounce it Kaleeb (Ka-Leeeb). We will be at an appointment, sitting in the waiting room and they will be calling for Kaleeb. The K seems to confuse people.
I just started Christchurch South Intermediate School this year and there is this boy in my class caleed Kale. It'so funny coz my name is Kaleigh.Kale.Kaleigh.So every 1 calls him Kaleigh and me Kale.
We thought we were being original when we named our son Kaiden. It'started with our love for the name Kai, and its meaning "ocian". But with his long last name it didn't roll off the tongue as we had hoped, so we started to add syllables to the end. We pronounce it with a long "I" as in sky.
Kale is a tough bitter variety of cabbage. If you like the'sound I suggest Cale or Cael to avoid the produce association.
My son's name is Kale, like the plant. He was named that because his father is Sage, and his Aunts are Fern and Rose. Fit the theme but it was also just a nice name.

My son's name is Kale Rayman. His father's name is Kade and he picked out Kale. I love the name. As far as his middle name, it is the name of his grandfather who passed away so it has sentimental value. We knew the middle name had to be Rayman, so when his father'said Kale it was a perfect match. He is now 3 1/2 and everyone who hears his name'say they love it, I have never had any negative feedback on the name.
My 9 year old son's name is Kale. His middle name is Gideon, a good strong Bible name. We love his name. It is not very common and we get a lot of compliments on it.
It's a vegetable. Why would you name your child after a vegetable❤️ Maybe if you spelled it with a "C" like it was short for "Caleb," your child might make it through jr. high without being ridiculed to tears...by my child, who will not be named after vegetables.

Kale is pretty much in the'same category as River or any other trendy hipster name. And a masculine name❤️ Well any time you have to defend a name as being masculine it probably Isn't. And if your parents are hipsters than you definitely are not masculine so the name won't do you much good anyway.

Everyone i've told thinks It's a rather cute name; but I do have a suggestion, just in case your kid would have any issues in school for some reason being teased and ridiculed about being named after cabbage; give him another'solid middle name. Like my son will be named Kale John; therefore if he don't like Kale he can be called John and It's a very common name. Just something to think about.

Kale is a variant of Cael, Gaelic origin meaning 'slender'. My son Kale is 10 and he was mostly named for the leafy green, although it is also short for another name I wont say because I want it to remain unique. Naming your child after a plant is not strange, it is very popular and has been for hundreds of years. Examples are: Heather, Lilly, Ashley, Brooke, Leif, Jasmine, Forrest, Holly, Basil.

I am a bIt'shy, so in school the time was a little tough because most teache's did not pronounce it right.
