It's beautiful and unique. My name is Leatha, and yes, some people do pronounce it wrong. It gets spelled wrong all the time too. But, I love the fact that it is different, because I am different. It was my grandmothe's name and I'm honored to have it.
I love my name its a name that has been in my family for many years. Growing up i always got called leathal leatha
My daughter is named Leatha after my Great Grandmother. Her name is mispronounced occasionally. The biggest issue is people think we are saying "Lisa." I love her name and wished my mom had named me Leatha.

i've always loved having a unique name. My grandmother named me Leatha and I got to name my first neice Leatha and she also loves her name because it is unique and yes we get called Lisa all the time and we have nicknames because of our name.
My Dad named me Leatha (pronounced Lee-Thuh)... I love my unique name, but i've got called Lisa so much especially by my own Mom until I think that'should have been my 1st name, LOL... and i've never met anyone with the Leatha... Maybe one day I will... :-)
Leatha was my great-grandmother's name and It's mine too! I'm very fond of it and can't really imagine having another, though people do mangle it all the time. My pet peeve is when someone asks me my name and they think I'm saying Lisa. I can't blame them for the mistake since not many people have heard of the name Leatha.
This is incredible since my wife and I unknowingly decided to name our upcoming baby Zadie :-)
My middle name is De Leatha pronounced (duh leetha) after great grandmother.
People usually pronounce my name correctly, but alot of times they will omit the a. I do not meet many othe's with my name I have met approximately 8 Leatha (s)
