Lina meaning

My name is Lina, and yeah, i've been called lena, or lina (lyna❤️), but It's not so hard to pronounce. i've never actually met anyone with the'same name as me, but when someone calls out Nina, or Tina, or something like that, I still turn around cuz It'sounds so simlar.

I love this name! In 4th grade I read that book, "The City of Ember" and I thought "Lina" was such a pretty name. It's the name of my Japanese friend also, so I think that I can also be Japanese (though I'm sure some will spell it as "Rina" not "Lina").

My sisters name is lina. People always spell it wrong like Lena or Leena. It is not very difficult to pronounce and its pronounced leena, like saying the word lean and then a. Yes we have met two or three lina's but when i went to italy i was surprised to find that every other girl there is named lina. In arabic it means small palm tree :)
