I named my son Lincoln, and chose it because it is unique without being weird. He will likely be the only person in his school with the name, but when people hear it, it won't sound made up or wannabe-trendy; for example, "Jace." Unfortunately, from what i've seen on the'sSA website, it has been gaining in popularity. It's still very low, but I'm worried It's going to pick up momentum.
my grandson is due Oct 31, 2019 and his name is Lincoln!!
I was born in the mid 60's and my name is Lincoln. People always say I should run for office and I get a lot of positive comments on the name...people really tend to remember it. In my 40+ years, some of the names I have been called: Abe (of course),Stinkin Lincoln, Lincoln Continental, Chain Link, LingCod, and my favorite, Hot Rod (Lincoln). Some younger kids, amazingly, actually spell it LINKIN. i've found that people who are new to the country and have actually studied American History can always spell it correctly once I say It's spelled "like the president."
I'm expecting twin boys and we are naming them Lincoln Joesph and LI'm Thomas

My second son's name is Lincoln James and I love it. We get great comments on it about it being a very strong name and I have to agree with that. I think it is a name that can easily be take seriously. I have to add, we call him Stinkin' Lincoln or Stinky Linky a lot. He is only 21 months so still in diapers so he usually gets called that when he needs a change LOL I think its a cute, funny nickname for him as a baby, but we wont call him that when he is older, I don't think! Usually we just call him Link or Lincoln.
