Mahdi meaning

Mahdi: Mahdi is an Arabic male name and means guided. It's the name of twelfth Imam of Shia Muslim. He is an awaited Imam who has been in occultation since his imamate and the Shia are looking forward to his reappearance. He is immaculate Imam of the time and now is in occultation. The greatest cause of Islam World is his reappearance that will occur one day by God's will power to fill the world with justice and peace as holy prophet of Islam says:

مَهْدىُّ اُمَّتِى الَّذى يَمْلاَُ الاَْرْضَ قِسْطا وَ عَدْلاً كَما مُلِئَتْ جَوْرا وَ ظُلْما

He is from my nation and he will save the world, as it's mentioned earlier. This belief has Quranic roots, for example the almighty Allah states:

 وَلَقَدْ كَتَبْنَا فِي الزَّبُورِ مِنْ بَعْدِ الذِّكْرِ أَنَّ الْأَرْضَ يَرِثُهَا عِبَادِيَ الصَّالِحُونَ

Before this We wrote in the Psalms, after the Message (given to Moses): My servants the righteous, shall inherit the earth. accordingly, their waiters should try to be righteous and practice self-edification and improvement to be among true example of his waiters and among pure servants of God. Whoever chooses this name for their children out of respect for the imam and knowing his guardianship in future and keep alive the philosophy of his occultation by calling their children (the person and his family) will be among true waiters of Imam of the time, then they will be far from difficulties of disasters as well. This atmosphere raises hope and idealism in their family day by day
