I was not fond of the name Mia when I first herd it. I couldn't decide on a baby name at all, so I ended up writting down all the boy and girl names our family liked and put it to a vote. We didn't even know if we where having a boy or girl, but I had to have a name...lol. So mia won, and it was a girl. after I found out what Mia ment I fell in love. I had wanted a girl for so long and knowing that it ment "my", as simple as the meaning is, to me it ment I was finnaly getting MY GIRL! And yes she is very much a rebel, but thats ok, she is just like her mommy:)
I would name my child Amilia and call her MIA as a nickname. It's not common and a nice name...but it's a nickname a nice nickname but still just a nickname.

I LOVE the name Mia and picked it out for my first born girl years ago. The special thing is that my dad has called me "My Lynne" (his Lynne) my whole life, so I will call my daughter Mia Lynne in honor of my dad. He will love it!
I think it's a beautiful name. I used to live in Italy and it is not used as a nickname for Grandma, and only a handful call their grandmothers Mimi. Mia is simply the word for My. I've only known one other girl in Italy named Mia, her middle name is Rosalie, her mom named Mia Rosalie because she was Her Rose. It's a very pretty name and anyone named Mia should be glad! -Mia Juliet.
i love it i named my 15 month old mia dezirae and love it
I am 11 days away from having my first daughter. my fiance and i decided to name her Mia Jean. The only issue is everyone wants to call her Mya but other than that i think it is a great name for a baby girl. it evolves from cute for little girls to strong for teens and adults. It just seems to roll off the tongue so easily to!
My name is Mia and i love that name. Mia Grace sounds the best out of the names you have picked, but my middle name is Jade, and i thing that also sounds really nice with Mia. The only problem is that i get called Miya alot by my teachers. Apart from that, i really like my name.
i have a daughter and i named her Mia Juliet. I get alot of compliments on her name. she is 9 months and I see how they say the name means rebellion haha she is!
My daughter's name is Mia Vivianna. She will be 7 this year, she loves both her first and middle names. Mia means 'My' and Vivianna (a variant of the name Vivien) was Merlin's enchantress in Malory's, Le Morte d'Arthur. Mia is very much, my enchantress.
