My baby'son is named Shaye as we loved the name and thought it was different to the norm - everyone we meet loves his unusual name too! He wouldnt suit anything else and certainly was "A Gift" given'to us!
its also short version of Shayaan/Shayan (i know one of each) i also know a Shae and a female Shay ...... very nice name and i think its growing in popularity or perhaps its just a phenomenon around here❤️
umm well im haylee also (: sometimes i like my name'sometimes i dont.. I'mean its cool and everything cause people can call you cute nick names like hayhay or just hay (those are my nick names) but on the other hand no one spells it right, and think about when your older, haylee doesnt sound like a very grown up name.. haha.. sooo yeah, those are my veiws on my name! (:
My name is Shaye and having to spell it ALWAYS is a real pain. Also, people call me Sherry, Shane, etc. I also get asked if it is short for something. It's neither feminine or masculine as well. I do like my name but it has its drawbacks.
i've named my first son Shay, and I think It's a great name. Shay is of Celtic origin and means "Gift". I think the'spelling is actually an American-isation of the'shorten form of Seamus. It is also somethimes used as a shorten form of Shymal which is a Indian/Hindi origin name.
I'm 4+ months pregnant and, if It's a boy, we plan on naming him Shay
My niece's name is Shayenne (shy-ann) and goes by Shay.
My 2 year old son is called Shay, I love the name now, wasn't sure at first tho couldn't imagine him called anything else now tho. he's named after Newcastle's goalie Shay Given!
