Born in 1918. Have only met a few with this name. I'moved to El Paso Texas 52 years ago, and have trouble getting the local people of Hispanic origin to spell it correctly; they spell it with a B instead of a V, since they have trouble pronouncing "V".
Not such a great name, the'short form Vern is better, like when Ernest P.
