Avianna meaning

Avianna is a newly minted female given name made popular by American actress Amy Adams, who recently named her first child, a daughter, Aviana Olea Le Gallo in May 2010. According to Adams, she and her husband named Aviana shortly after Aviano, Italy - the small northeast Italian town where Amy was born while her military father had been stationed abroad. avian means “referring to birds” from the Latin “avis”, meaning “bird”, so you wouldn't be surprised if Aviano, Italy took its name from the same Latin root. (Interestingly Aviano is considered the cradle of Italian aviation and they don't give you more “bird” than that!). Birds are creatures that carry a lot of positive symbolism: they represent freedom and quiet grace in flight; which represent the intellect and imagination as flying through the air; and they bring spiritual messages and peaceful sounds through their precious songs. If you're finding Ariana/Arianna a bit annoying these days, Aviana/Avianna might be another option to consider. It is still very new, underused and original.
