A sublimely beautiful name for a girl and a woman.
I love the name and the meaning itself. My mother's named beatrice and she is everything that it means. People call her BB and Ms. Bea, but she truly is the bearer of happiness.
One of the granddaughters of Queen Elizabeth II is called Beatrice. HRH Princess Beatrice of York. There was also another Princess Beatrice further up in the Mountbatten-Windsor lineage.
Hi my name is Beatrice, but every one i know calls me Bea (pronounced bee) I used to think my name was weird but I have learned to like it since its so uncommon. I have never met anyone with my name thats younger than 80.
I absolutely love my name, I'm named after my aunt, my great-aunt, my great-great aunt, and so on, all of whom are very beautiful woman. All of the first girls were named Beatrice. I can only hope that one of my brothers or my sisters will name one of their children after me to carry on the tradition.
I forgot to mention, that just a couple of days ago, someone told me, he found that my name was sexy... Long story short, if you're thinking of calling your daugher Beatrice it surely is a good decision, for it being a gorgeous name that a girl and woman does love to spend the rest of her life with.
When I was younger I didn't really think so much about my name. But now as an adolescent I think that Beatrice is a pretty name, not only fitting for a child but also for a woman. Growing up in Germany my nickname used to be Bea (Bay-uh), and that's just how everybody calls me. Famous represantatives of the name? I dunno. There aren't many. The daughter of Paul McCartny is called Beatrice and the dutch Queen is called Beatrix, so it's similar. And whenever I have been to the Netherlands the dutch people reffered to their monarch.
