Cecelia meaning

I love my name!Its so cool, because barely no one has that name and its so beautiful when you say it

Cecelia is my 3 year old granddaughter's name. I love it because it is so lyrical. People in day care call her Cece, and we don't care for that, but I do love her name. She's a beautiful, sweet, blond, blue eyed girl.

I'mortalized in the'simon and Garfunkel song, it is pretty, yet somewhat uncommon name. I personally love it.

I love my name. I think that it is a beautiful name, and a family tradition of sorts, right next to my other favorite name. My grandmother's, Ophelia. I have to reintroduce myself to my family's acquaintances when'they introduce me, because they call me by my nickname which has nothing to do with my name, Cecelia. It's almost like two different personalities. My father only calls me by my name, Cecelia, since he named me after his favorite aunt. All of my friends call me Cecelia, and a few variations. "Ceelie" (Color Purple), Ceil, Cessy (usually sports teammates). But i don't allow Celia. I have my reasons.

I am named after my mother's twin sisters Cecelia and Ann. I am always complimented about my name and wouldn't change it for anything.

I was told I was named after a childhood friend, that befriended my biological mom. Her friend had an inground pool at her home. This was late forties. She was invited over to swim, and play often. The little friends name was Cecilia. Hence, my name. Middle name is Ann.
