Everybody I'meet likes my name. They don't forget it because it is so rare. I named my son "Dane" because I wanted him to have a unique name.
My father in laws middle name was Dane and I loved it. We named our 2nd child Dane. i've only heard it about 5 times since 2001 when Dane was born.

When we picked Bryson for our sons name back in 2010, I had never heard of it as a first name before. He has only had 2 classmates with the'same name, and there is an'ther little boy in'town, but otherwise, It's still an uncommon name, which I love.
Hi there. Dane is just a perfect name for a man :)) n't only because it is my baby boy's name(aged 1 1/2) I fell in love with this name when I was 10, I guess,well..., after reading the Thorn Birds, of course :) But I admired the character a lot. Living in Italy does n't really help with accurate spelling n't to mention'the pronunciation, however, people just love it and my son learnt to say it when he was 1.
