This is my name too! And yes people often pronounce it wrong and spell it wrong. So far i've met one person that has been able to pronounce my name correctly when reading it the first time. But i've learned to deal with it. The way my name is pronounce is i-lia-na. It's rare when I'meet other people with the'same name. thats why i love my name!!
this is my sons name - and I have always loved it. He likes that its different, and loves the fact that he can't be confused with anyone else in high school. It is a one of a kind name of a one of a kind guy.
Ok, this is my name and I LOVE it- but I'm most certainly not a boy! Also, it wasn't as trendy when I was a kid- by DOB is Aug '84- even just a few years ago no one had heard of it, now I get "Oh, yeah, i've heard it- some singer, right❤️" Annoying. Anyway, It's a Welsh name that means "fair/beautiful". Not particularly masculine...
Tegan is my daughter's name. I had not heard of it until 2014 and loved It'so much that I named my daughter Tegan when she was born in 2015. Most people say it incorrectly, but it is pronounced Tee-gan. I have not met anyone with the'same name. I had not evern heard of the'singer until about 2 years ago... I get alot of compliments on how beautiful the name is. Definitely does not strike me as a boy name though. I found the origin of the name to be Celtic and meaning beautiful/loving/doe.
