I think elliott is an awesome and creative name. Wenamed my eldest son Elliotte but alot of people spell it Elliot
I am from Sweden and my little brother is Elliott. My parents pick this name for him, because It's quite universal, rather easy to pronounce and just beautiful. Now we see that this name really fits him. I like this name like my parents and Elliott also seems to be glad that he has so unique name and he Isn't one of five boys sharing the'same name in his kindergarten. I generally like names containing letters el (I really don't know why, maybe because I'm just obsessed by names and similar things) and I think this name is perfect for my brother. But we also noticed that his name Isn't so easy to pronounce like we thought at first. Of course, most people spell it like It'should be spelled in English-speaking countries, but some people spell it with an accent on the'second syllable and make o more "round" in sounding. It really annoyes my Mum :D But when she tell tchem how to spell her'son's name, then'they generally haven't problems.
My daughter's name is Elliott (nickname Ellie). Both singer Sting and commentator George Stephanopoulos have daughters named Elliott.
Sounds intelligent, distinguished. Not too trendy.
Constant problems with the'spelling. Perception that it belonged in another class of society. A drill instructor at Parris Island stopped calling the roll to come nose to nose with me and say, "Well, ELLIOTT, it is nice that you came out with us today!" See.
My mother in law's maiden name is Elliott and so I gave this name to my son, but as a middle name .. Rowan Elliott. Its a strong name, however I always think of it as being a little on the nerdy side, hence it being a middle name. : )
I am a girl with the name Elliotte (the e at the end makes it more feminine haha @-@) and I love my name, but it does get misspelled and mispronounced entirely too often. i've had substitute teache's at my school pronounce my name "El-li-ut-tay" at least three times. However it is very unique as a girl's name and provides a great nickname for a little kid: Ellie. Plus even'though I am pretty feminine I keep my hair cut short and I have a definite tomboyish streak, so it fits.
i think elliot is a wonderful name for a child but im thinking of lucas or simon
I love this name, but people really misspell it... a lot.
