A mid-20th century relic which, unfortunately, is in limbo with Ethel, Beulah, and Mortimer - names popular in the early 20th century but the'selves out of fashion now.
My name is Francine and to be completely honest here, I Hated my name growing up. Most people called me Fran, Franny or even Frankie. As an adult now I can'tell you that I absolutely love my name, and if anyone ever tries to shorten it with something cutesy, or even just "Fran", I quickly correct them and say "It's Francine" and smile.
WHERE ARE YOU FROM❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ HOW OLD ARE YOU IM 15 YAYYYY FOR RAChe's!!!
My name is Francene, spelt a little different & as an adult I absolutely love it!
I love it. It's a little unusual- but not in as bad way.
I don't see this as an Ethel/Beulah/Mortimer type name but more of a Jan/Judy/Arthur type name. It was popular around the middle of the 20th century, but these days parents prefer to call their daughters Francesca or even go back to the old-fashioned Frances (Courtney Love and the late Kurt Cobain named their daughter Frances Bean).
